As the Secretary of the Youth Union in Vinh Thanh hamlet, Vinh Phong commune, for over five years, Ms. Thi Xa Ral has supported many Khmer women in earning extra income and improving their lives. From learning the craft of weaving water hyacinth, she opened a training class for female Youth Union members and young people in the area. Despite facing many difficulties regarding raw materials, she persevered in finding partners outside the province to ensure a market for her products.
In 2020, she established a water hyacinth weaving group, which developed into a handicraft water hyacinth weaving cooperative in 2022. Currently, it has 89 members, mostly women. Their products are sold in Ho Chi Minh City and exported to the United States. Each month, the cooperative generates a profit of approximately 150 million VND, contributing to increased income for its members. In addition, she also established a "Xà Ral Clean Agricultural Product Processing Service" model with a stable annual revenue of around 300 million VND, creating jobs for dozens of members and helping many women escape poverty.
In the field of entrepreneurship, Ms. Nguyen Hoang Ngoc Yen, a member of the Youth Union in Binh Hoa commune, successfully developed the "Straw Mushroom Puff Pastry" model, generating nearly 800 million VND in revenue per year, with a profit of over 100 million VND and providing employment for 20 local workers.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Linh, a member of the Thoi Son ward Youth Union, stands out with his laser engraving and handicraft production model, generating revenue of 800-900 million VND per year. He currently provides employment for 5 permanent workers, 10 seasonal workers, and vocational training for over 20 young people. Mr. Linh shared: “I am very honored to be commended by the Central Committee of the Youth Union. I will continue to improve product quality, build a local brand, and create more jobs for rural youth.”

In the field of volunteering, Danh Minh Thanh, a member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Hoa Thuan Junior and Senior High School, is recognized for his achievements in blood donation and blood donation mobilization. As a medical professional, Mr. Thanh clearly understands the role of blood donation not only in saving lives but also in improving health. In 2023 and 2024, he directly donated and mobilized donations of 32 units of blood, exceeding the target set by his superiors. Furthermore, Mr. Thanh actively guides students in participating in creative competitions and legal awareness campaigns, winning numerous awards, such as second prize in the 2024 competition on applying technology in ensuring traffic safety with his smart helmet product.
Another exemplary figure is Ms. Marigiah, a Cham ethnic minority teacher at Vinh Truong B Primary School in Vinh Hau commune. Not only does she excel in her professional duties, but she also has many initiatives to enhance Vietnamese language instruction for ethnic minority students. Furthermore, she mobilizes sponsors to provide scholarships and gifts, and organizes charitable activities for students and local people.
These young people are living proof of the beautiful and meaningful lives of An Giang's youth, ready to dedicate themselves to the community and the nation. They are a source of inspiration for the younger generation to continue striving, rising above challenges, and making positive contributions to their homeland and country.
