(PLVN) - In the early days of Spring, starting from February 1st (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a work program to inspect a number of important national and key projects.
Three of the key projects that the Prime Minister visited were Long Thanh International Airport ( Dong Nai province); the construction project of Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road 3 at the Tan Van intersection and Nhon Trach bridge (Dong Nai province); and the Tan Son Nhat Airport Terminal 3 project (Ho Chi Minh City).
On-site reports have revealed a working atmosphere throughout the Tet holiday at several construction sites. For example, at the Long Thanh airport project, nearly 4,000 officials and workers remained on site during Tet. Similarly, at the Tan Son Nhat T3 terminal project, approximately 600 officials and workers stayed to work.
Tet is one of the most important events of the year for everyone and every family; however, to meet work demands, construction sites still operate in three shifts, four teams, throughout the holiday, through Tet, and through days off, "braving the sun, overcoming the rain, and not succumbing to storms"... This is something truly admirable and worthy of respect.
And the fact that the head of government, even on the fourth day of Tet (Lunar New Year), did not take a day off, but instead visited several construction sites to encourage and give Tet gifts to officials and workers; inspect, supervise, and continue to identify and resolve difficulties and obstacles, and promote the progress of projects; this was also something that moved the public equally.
Another noteworthy detail is that, regarding the Long Thanh airport project, this is the sixth time in the past three years that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has visited the construction site to encourage, inspect, and supervise the project. For the T3 terminal project, not including the groundbreaking ceremony, this is the third time the Prime Minister has visited to inspect and expedite the progress.
The Prime Minister's suggestions and directives at construction sites during his inspection tour at the beginning of the year also attracted great attention from the public nationwide; with very detailed and clear instructions, assigning specific people, tasks, timelines, responsibilities, and expected outcomes.
With specialized aviation equipment needing to be sourced overseas, the Prime Minister instructed investors to visit the suppliers' factories to work closely with them and expedite the project timeline. Units must study a rational layout plan for construction sites to simultaneously implement various project components, avoiding overlaps and delays.
Regarding raw materials, the principle is to supply them directly to contractors, without intermediaries; reclaim mines whose mining licenses have expired or are operating improperly, and strictly punish those who hoard, profit from, or inflate prices.
In the event of any difficulties or obstacles arising, the Prime Minister requests that ministries, agencies, localities, investors, contractors, etc., report to a Deputy Prime Minister who has been assigned the task for immediate resolution.
In some of the aforementioned key national projects, it has been observed that all organizations and individuals have made significant efforts in project implementation with the spirit of "only discussing how to work, not discussing how to retreat," overcoming many difficulties and obstacles, "eating quickly, sleeping urgently," working "3 shifts, 4 teams," and achieving results ahead of schedule…
In the early days of the new spring, as we begin a new working year, the enthusiasm and energy emanating from the head of government and the officials and workers on construction sites instill confidence in the people of the whole country that the new year will surely bring new vitality and new successes!
