Braun's comments come amid controversy surrounding Sydney Sweeney's portrayal of Cassie in season three of Euphoria . In this season, her character is portrayed as an adult content creator. Several episodes feature explicit scenes, including Cassie nearly naked and interacting with a golden python.

According to Page Six , a source close to the matter said Scooter Braun “had absolutely no problem” with Sydney Sweeney’s suggestive scenes in Euphoria , as well as her career choices as an actress. The source added that Braun understood it was part of the job and respected Sydney’s dedication to acting.

Meanwhile, season three of Euphoria is facing considerable criticism. Creator Sam Levinson is being accused by some viewers of developing Cassie's storyline in a way that "demeans" the character.

Sydney Sweeney previously told The Independent in 2022 that she didn't feel pressured to perform the nude scenes. The actress also said that Sam Levinson always took her feedback into account during the filming process.

However, the reaction to season three of Euphoria is not as positive as the previous two seasons. On Rotten Tomatoes, season three currently has a 40% "rotten" rating, significantly lower than seasons one and two, which achieved 80% and 78% "fresh" ratings respectively.
