To promote the role of the people in ensuring security and order, in March 2026, the Tinh Gia Ward Police Department developed a model of effective public relations: "Improving the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization of taxi drivers and transport service drivers to ensure traffic safety and prevent and combat crime." After three months of operation, the model has proven to be practically effective. On the roads, every day, taxi drivers and transport service drivers have become "eyes and ears" supporting the police force, promptly detecting and providing valuable information related to security, order, and traffic safety.

Currently, the Tinh Gia Ward Police have mobilized 100% of taxi and transport service drivers operating in the area, with 51 members participating in the "Enhancing the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization of taxi and transport service drivers to ensure traffic safety and crime prevention" model. To ensure the model's effectiveness, the ward police organize propaganda, disseminate laws, and provide skills training for drivers on the Road Traffic Safety Law, safe driving skills, and identifying illegal acts such as theft, robbery, intentional injury, drug crimes, and fugitives. In addition, a communication group on the Zalo platform between the ward police force and the members participating in the model has been established, creating a quick and effective information exchange channel. Upon detecting any suspicious signs, incidents of public disorder, traffic accidents, or prolonged traffic congestion, members can immediately notify the authorities so that they can respond and handle the situation promptly.

In addition to public awareness campaigns, local police forces regularly meet with and listen to the concerns and aspirations of drivers, providing legal advice and guidance on traffic safety regulations to enhance their compliance with the law during their work.

Mr. Le Van Hung, a Mai Linh taxi driver residing in Trung Chinh residential area, shared: “Since participating in the model, we have received guidance from the ward police on how to identify violations of the law, how to handle situations, and how to provide information. Therefore, when we discover incidents related to traffic accidents or security breaches, we proactively notify the authorities.”

After receiving reports from members of the model, the ward police quickly arrived at the scene to handle the incident and ensure smooth traffic flow.

Earlier, at approximately 8:30 AM on May 22, 2026, a traffic accident occurred at Km 366+200 on National Highway 1A in residential area 6, involving a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer. The motorcycle driver was making a left turn when the collision occurred with the tractor-trailer traveling in the same direction. Information about the incident was promptly provided to the authorities by drivers operating on the road.

According to statistics, since the model was implemented, members have provided 12 pieces of information related to traffic safety and public order. Based on this information, the ward police force has promptly organized the protection of traffic accident scenes, assisted in first aid for victims, and collected documents and evidence for investigation and verification. Beyond providing information, the model also contributes to raising the awareness of law compliance among drivers. Drivers become active advocates on every journey. In conversations with passengers, drivers incorporate reminders about complying with traffic laws, not driving under the influence of alcohol, and raising awareness of protecting property and being vigilant against criminal tactics.

Mr. Le Van Dien, residing in Giang Son residential area, said: "After participating in the training sessions, I understand my responsibilities better when participating in traffic. As a result, I voluntarily comply with the law and encourage drivers and relatives to do the same."

Through the model of community responsibility being spread among taxi and service vehicle drivers in Tinh Gia ward, every call reporting information, every piece of information provided, or simply a reminder to passengers to comply with traffic laws contributes to ensuring security, order, and traffic safety at the grassroots level. When citizens cooperate with the police force, the strength in maintaining security and order is multiplied, creating a solid people's security network.
