On December 6, at the regular Government press conference in November, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son said that this was a very serious incident with unacceptable behavior.

"The Provincial People's Committee directs the Department of Education and Training and the school to first clarify the cause and responsibility of the relevant parties in an objective and thorough manner. On that basis, there must be measures to strictly handle what is the responsibility of the teacher, the responsibility related to the school, the school leadership, what is related to the students, the responsibility of the parents. It is necessary to consider the whole situation to have measures to handle the problem, it is necessary to rectify and learn from this deeply," said Mr. Hoang Minh Son.

Previously, as Thanh Nien reported, at around 10:30 a.m. on November 29, at Van Phu Secondary School, when it was time for the 3rd period of music in class 7C, teacher Phan Thi H. entered the classroom to teach, but there were still students outside who had not yet entered the classroom.

When Ms. H. reminded them, some students reacted. A while later, some students asked to leave, but Ms. H. did not agree. After that, there were problems between the teacher and the students during class.

After finishing the third period of class 7C, Ms. H. went to teach the fourth period of class 6A. After the period, some students from class 7C went to class 6A and continued to make inappropriate statements and behaviors towards Ms. H. (swearing, insulting the teacher, recording videos and posting them on Facebook).

Upon receiving information about the incident, the District People's Committee directed the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the Department of Internal Affairs, the District Police and relevant agencies to verify, resolve information about the incident, and report in accordance with regulations.

Male student insults female teacher

On November 30, the Department of Education and Training, Son Duong District Police and other authorities worked and requested Van Phu Secondary School to hold a review meeting to clarify the responsibilities of teachers and students and propose handling measures according to regulations.

On the same day, Van Phu Secondary School held a meeting with the school's leadership to review and resolve the incident; organized a meeting with all teachers and parents of students in grades 7C and 6A to propagate to parents to coordinate with the school to educate students' ethics, to prevent the above incident from happening again.

On December 1-2, Van Phu Secondary School held a meeting, requiring teachers and students involved to write a report on the incident, clearly identifying the level of violation as a basis for consideration and resolution according to regulations.

On December 5, Ms. Pham Thi Nhi Binh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Duong District, directly went to Van Phu Secondary School to direct the school to consider and resolve the incident and continue to direct the Department of Internal Affairs, the Department of Education and Training, and the District Police to coordinate with relevant agencies to direct the school to continue to inspect, verify, resolve, and consider and propose handling of related groups and individuals, ensuring strict compliance with regulations.
