In recent years, Tam Ky City has successfully resolved many bottlenecks in land clearance and urban infrastructure investment, especially for key projects that have been ongoing for many years. This is clearly evident in the increasingly positive aspects of the city's development.
According to the City People's Committee, 2024 is considered the year with the most positive developments ever. During the year, the investment policies for 22 projects were approved, and the investment policies for 4 projects were adjusted; 58 compensation, land clearance, and resettlement plans were implemented, with a total land area of 9.4 hectares reclaimed.
Local authorities have basically completed land clearance, organized construction to create land reserves and ensure drainage for several key projects such as the Nguyen Hoang ring road connecting to Khe Sung stream, completed asphalt paving of Bach Dang road, Nguyen Du - Bach Dang intersection, connecting infrastructure north of the commercial center, upgrading the N24 canal and the road along the canal in Hoa Huong ward, and several school and residential area projects…
Infrastructure connection projects (27 projects) also continue to receive attention and are being accelerated, striving for completion in the 2021-2025 period. The total public investment capital for 2024 is over 455 billion VND.
To achieve this result, Tam Ky City has shown great interest and determination in creating new momentum in effectively implementing breakthrough tasks, contributing to socio-economic development and urban construction.
In this context, identifying land clearance and investment in urban infrastructure construction as important tasks and breakthroughs in urban development, in 2021 the Tam Ky City Party Committee issued Resolution 04 on improving the efficiency of compensation, land clearance, and resettlement when the State recovers land in the area during the 2021-2025 period.
In addition, the Standing Committee of the Tam Ky City Party Committee also specifically assigned each member of the Standing Committee and leaders of the City People's Committee to directly monitor and direct the progress of compensation, support, and resettlement in order to promptly grasp and proactively resolve difficulties and obstacles in each key project.
According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tam Ky City, Nguyen Duy An, in 2024 Tam Ky will be one of the localities with the best land clearance work in the province, despite many difficulties and obstacles due to changing mechanisms and policies. The city identifies land clearance linked to promoting and attracting investment projects as a key, breakthrough task, creating a strong impetus for urban development.
In recent times, the city has attracted several large and financially strong investors such as Sun Group and Geleximco to research and propose large-scale investment projects in the city, such as the Nguyen Tat Thanh mixed-use urban area; the Song Dam lakeside urban, technology, and education area; the An Ha hill park urban area; the multi-functional mixed-use urban area in Hoa Huong ward; and several urban and service development projects in the eastern region.
Stepping up breakthrough tasks
Identifying 2025 as a breakthrough year to achieve the goals, thereby contributing to the completion of the socio-economic development plan targets for the 2021-2025 period, all 15 key socio-economic development plan targets for 2025 set by Tam Ky City are to be equal to or higher than those of 2024.
To achieve this goal, in addition to promoting administrative reform and building a government apparatus, the city continues to make breakthroughs in compensation and land clearance work to invest in infrastructure and attract investment in various fields.
According to the city's investment portfolio, in 2025, priority will be given to and resources will be utilized to accelerate the progress of key projects such as the Nguyen Hoang ring road (Phan Boi Chau - Nguyen Tat Thanh section), the N10 road and residential areas on both sides of the road (Hung Vuong - Nguyen Dinh Chieu section), the infrastructure of Thuan Yen Industrial Park, residential areas, and transportation routes such as the Ba Ta - An Ha road, the Tam Ky - Tam Thanh to Ngoc My road, and the city's sports complex.
Specifically, in 2025, construction will begin on the underground drainage project along Trung Nu Vuong Street, the embankment along the Tam Ky River, the flood drainage canal and flood control reservoir in the west, the Hung Vuong Street project, and the dredging of the Truong Giang River…
Mr. Nguyen Duy An stated that a very important task for 2025 is to continue to accelerate land clearance to attract investors, focus on urban development; and research and improve new tourism products to create appeal for tourism.
Therefore, city-level departments and agencies should focus on effectively implementing Resolution 04 of the City Party Committee; regularly inspect progress at the grassroots level, and effectively carry out mobilization, propaganda, and dialogue to explain the people's requests. Continue to implement the policy of socializing investment in projects to renovate and upgrade urban and rural infrastructure.
