On March 18th, to support students and workers in accessing recruitment programs from businesses, the Hanoi Employment Service Center (under the Department of Internal Affairs) organized a specialized job fair for Youth Month 2025. Thousands of attractive job opportunities were offered to students and workers at the fair.

Diverse indicators
According to Mr. Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center, 68 businesses participated in the recruitment process with more than 4,000 job openings.
Specifically, out of a total of 68 participating businesses, 49 were in the trade and service sector, accounting for 72.1%. In addition, there were businesses operating in other sectors such as manufacturing, restaurants and hotels, healthcare , etc. Among these, the highest demand was for workers with college/university degrees or higher: 1,784 out of 4,250 positions. The demand for workers with vocational training or technical skills was 1,479 out of 4,250 positions, and the demand for unskilled labor was 987 out of 4,250 positions, accounting for 23.2%. Accordingly, the salaries offered by these businesses were quite attractive, with the lowest starting at 5 million VND and the highest potentially reaching double digits if the company's requirements were met.
Notably, at the Job Fair, job opportunities, part-time jobs, and internships for students were primarily concentrated in the 18-25 age group, with 1,986 positions, accounting for 46.7%. This provides young, enthusiastic workers with more choices of jobs that match their professional qualifications and abilities. In addition, students can find part-time jobs and internships to gain experience and meet the requirements of businesses after graduation.
Strengthening tripartite connections
Surveys from job fairs show that, with the diverse range of industries and professions offered by businesses matching the job-seeking needs of workers, students seeking part-time jobs to earn extra income can choose suitable jobs that match their abilities after graduation and can commit to long-term, stable employment.
Attending the job fair, Nguyen Hong Nhung, a third-year student at Hanoi Foreign Trade University, easily found a part-time job that suited her field of study and offered a decent salary (6 million VND/month).
“This festival serves as a bridge between students and the job market. The event provides opportunities for students to meet and interact with employers, explore career opportunities, and enhance their knowledge of employment trends, thereby helping them become more confident in entering the job market,” Hong Nhung shared.
In reality, this connection extends beyond recruitment to include soft skills training programs such as CV writing, interview skills, and professional communication – essential elements for students to confidently enter the job market. These are crucial skills that many students lack upon graduation, making it difficult for them to find employment.
Mr. Vu Quang Thanh assessed that, through the Recruitment Festival, students get to experience practical activities at the Job Fair, practice job-seeking skills, thereby learning and improving their basic skills and knowledge, adapting to the changes in the labor market after graduation, building habits and a professional work style, and choosing jobs and careers that suit their skills and aspirations. In addition, it will create a three-way bridge: school - students - businesses, creating opportunities for businesses to access high-quality human resources and fostering long-term information exchange between schools and businesses.
