On the afternoon of June 19th, at the An Giang Provincial Military Command, the Emulation Cluster of the Military Commands of 5 provinces and cities under Military Region 9 held a conference to summarize the emulation and reward work for the first six months of 2026.

• Enhancing the operational effectiveness of grassroots armed forces.
• Promoting democracy to build unity and solidarity within the armed forces of Ca Mau.

Attending the conference were Lieutenant General Ho Van Thai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Military Region 9; and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province.

The emulation cluster includes the Military Commands of 5 localities: An Giang, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Ca Mau and Can Tho city.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Phong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, delivered a welcoming speech at the conference.

During the first six months of 2026, the emulation and reward activities of the Cluster were implemented synchronously, closely following the political tasks of each unit.

The "Determined to Win" emulation movement, linked with studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh, and the campaign "Promoting traditions, contributing talents, and living up to the name of Ho Chi Minh's soldiers," has created a strong motivation for officers and soldiers.

The work of disseminating information and implementing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term was carried out seriously; over 99% of participating candidates were elected with a high percentage of votes.

Effectively implementing the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" movement and building "Good Mass Mobilization Units" with numerous social welfare projects and initiatives to support the people, with a total budget exceeding 100 billion VND.

Delivering a directive speech at the conference, Lieutenant General Ho Van Thai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Military Region 9, commended the achievements of the units. He also acknowledged that the armed forces of the localities had proactively advised the Party committees and authorities on effectively carrying out military and national defense tasks; maintaining strict combat readiness and improving discipline.
