Busy installing guardrails on the Van Ninh highway.

The Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway construction site is bustling with the sound of machinery. Numerous construction teams are actively installing guardrails and fences on both sides of the route, as well as anti-glare netting on the median strip, to ensure the road is open to traffic by June 30th.

The North-South Expressway project, specifically the Van Ninh - Cam Lo section, has a total length of over 65.5km. Of this, over 33km passes through Quang Binh province, specifically in Quang Ninh and Le Thuy districts; and over 32.5km passes through Quang Tri province, specifically in Vinh Linh, Gio Linh, and Cam Lo districts.

The project has two construction packages, of which package XL1 (Km 675+400 - Km 708+350) is located in Quang Binh province and is being constructed by the joint venture of Truong Thinh Group Joint Stock Company - Truong Son Construction Corporation - 368 Construction Joint Stock Company.

Construction package XL2 (Km 708+350 - Km 740+884) is located in Quang Tri province and is being constructed by a consortium of Truong Thinh Group Joint Stock Company, Construction and Transportation Company No. 1 Joint Stock Company, and Vietnam Railway Construction Corporation Joint Stock Company.

The northern section of the An Mã irrigation reservoir (Lệ Thủy district, Quảng Bình province) has had guardrails installed and is currently having median barriers installed; the high embankment slopes have been reinforced with concrete.

The project commenced on January 1, 2023, and is scheduled for completion in December 2025 (with a revised timeline aiming for completion in June 2025). To date, the project's construction progress has reached approximately over 78%.

Currently, contractors are taking advantage of favorable weather conditions to deploy multiple construction teams for various items, organizing work in "3 shifts, 4 teams," striving to basically complete the main route and open it to traffic by June 30th.
