Located in Binh Hoa Industrial Park, Universal Apparel Co., Ltd. specializes in manufacturing export garments for over 7 years, currently employing 3,101 local workers and 56 foreign workers. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang, Deputy Director of the company, 100% of employees have signed contracts; average income is 7.7 million VND/person/month, with the highest reaching 20 million VND/person/month. The company has planned a 9-day Tet holiday, and Tet bonuses for workers in 2026 will range from 4.3 to 7.3 million VND/person. The company also provides additional gifts of 300,000 to 500,000 VND/person. Ms. Trang stated: “We ensure a meal allowance of 20,000 VND for workers during their shifts, provide benefits for female workers, and ensure 100% participation in health insurance, social insurance, and unemployment insurance. Nearly 2,700 workers receive regular health check-ups.”
At Spectre An Giang Vietnam Garment Technology Co., Ltd., the garment manufacturing facility in the industrial park employs 2,464 workers. “The company maintains an average income of 8.2 million VND/person/month, with the highest reaching 80 million VND/person/month; Lunar New Year bonuses range from 5.5 to 9 million VND/person,” said Ms. Ly Thi Hoang Yen, Head of Human Resources at Spectre An Giang Vietnam Garment Technology Co., Ltd.
According to Ms. Liu Jinning, Director of Universal Apparel Co., Ltd., a company specializing in manufacturing shirts for export to the European and American markets, the company requires highly skilled, precise, and meticulous workers. This stringent requirement makes recruitment difficult. Therefore, the company urgently needs the support of the Employment Service Center and the Department of Internal Affairs in recruiting workers to meet the company's expansion needs in the coming period.
Businesses in the industrial park have reported that labor shortages or labor fluctuations have sometimes affected production schedules. Several new legal regulations related to labor, taxes, insurance, etc., require businesses to promptly update and adjust their practices.
Currently, the industrial park's landscape and infrastructure are inadequate, with flooding occurring at the company site, causing significant losses to the business's production, export, and financial plans. The industrial park's security guards are failing to fulfill their responsibilities in managing security and order, allowing individuals to enter for hunting and honey harvesting, which could easily lead to fires and explosions. The widespread street vending and littering negatively impact the industrial park's aesthetics and compromise hygiene and food safety. The business requests that the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board promptly upgrade the infrastructure, install cameras and lighting in the industrial park, prevent flooding, and ensure security, order, and a pleasant landscape.
During a recent field survey of labor conditions, employment, occupational safety and health, wages, and Tet bonuses at businesses in the Binh Hoa Industrial Park, Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Affairs Nguyen Hoang Minh Thu highly praised the achievements of the businesses, contributing to job creation for tens of thousands of workers, stabilizing income and benefits for employees, and contributing to the overall achievements of the province. “Businesses should continue to develop production and business, take care of their employees, fully and promptly implement employee benefits, regularly engage in dialogue with employees, and offer better welfare policies to attract and retain workers. The province and relevant departments will always stand alongside businesses, continue to support them in overcoming difficulties, and help them develop, contributing to the overall development of the province,” Ms. Nguyen Hoang Minh Thu expressed her hope.
