Taking place over two days, January 24th and 25th, the "Tet Solidarity" program, themed "Identity - Warmth - Spreading Love," organized by An Dong ward, created a vibrant and meaningful atmosphere to welcome the traditional Lunar New Year. Along with songs and melodies reflecting the spirit of spring, the event included a competition for wrapping and cooking banh chung and banh tet (traditional Hue-style rice cakes), making traditional Hue jams, experiencing traditional folk games, and a spring lottery to raise funds for the poor… all contributing to a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere for the local people.
Through the program, nearly 400 Tet gifts worth nearly 120 million VND were handed directly to poor households, near-poor households, newly-escaped-poverty households, and people in difficult circumstances, contributing to sharing difficulties and bringing joy to people during the Tet holiday. Products participating in the competition, such as banh chung (square sticky rice cake), banh tet (cylindrical sticky rice cake), ginger jam, etc., were also given to families in difficult circumstances.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy from An Dong ward shared: “Participating in the traditional folk game, experiencing the atmosphere of wrapping banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes), making ginger jam and Hue-style cakes right in the ward office grounds with the residents of my neighborhood made me feel very happy. The Tet atmosphere felt earlier and more meaningful.”
Previously, Phuong Duc ward organized the "Tet Solidarity 2025" program with many vibrant and meaningful activities, such as: experiencing the Thanh Tien paper flower making craft, organizing a space to experience folk games, a competition to display Tet fruit trays, and giving "Gifts of Love for Spring"...
At the "Spring Gifts of Love" program, the ward presented 5 gift packages, each worth 2.5 million VND, from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan Hoa District to families in difficult circumstances; and distributed 172 gift packages worth 50.6 million VND from organizations, individuals, benefactors, and products from competitions within the program such as banh chung (sticky rice cake), banh tet (cylindrical sticky rice cake), ginger jam, etc., to policy beneficiary families, near-poor households, and disadvantaged households in the ward.

Through this program, the Fatherland Front in each ward advised the Party Committee, coordinated with the government and member organizations at the same level, and mobilized and connected with charitable organizations and individuals, allocating funds from the "For the Poor" Fund to give gifts to poor households, near-poor households, and households with particularly difficult circumstances. They also organized programs such as "Spring Gifts of Love" and "Mutual Support Stalls"… contributing to social welfare and supporting the poor.
According to Mr. Truong Dinh Hanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuan Hoa District, with the theme "Identity - Warmth - Spreading Love," the "Tet Solidarity" program aims to preserve and promote the beautiful traditional cultural values during the Lunar New Year; to promote the tradition of mutual support and compassion of the nation, creating a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere to welcome the Year of the Snake; and at the same time, to promote patriotic emulation movements associated with the requirements of effectively implementing the goals and tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security; and to mobilize and connect the participation and support of charitable organizations and individuals to help poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged policy-beneficiary households in Thuan Hoa District.
Through the program, thousands of gifts and products from the competition were delivered directly to poor and near-poor households and families in difficult circumstances in the area, bringing joy and sharing the difficulties with these families during the Lunar New Year.
