Hosts Thailand were considered far superior to the team ranked 150th in FIFA. In the 11th minute, Ben Davis opened the scoring with a decisive finish after an assist from Ekanit Panya.

Just five minutes later, Ekanit continued his impressive performance with a clever pass to Teerasak, who scored to double the lead. The early advantage allowed Thailand to completely dominate the game, creating constant pressure that left Fiji almost unable to retaliate.

In the second half, in the 47th minute, Poramet scored the third goal with a beautiful volley after a one-two pass with Ben Davis.

However, the remainder of the match saw a disappointing waste of opportunities from the blue-shirted strikers. Jaroensak had two one-on-one chances with the goalkeeper but missed, Supachai also squandered a golden opportunity, and Ben Davis hit the post when he was almost certain to score.

Fiji only created one notable chance with Joseph's free kick in the 59th minute, which went just wide of the goal. However, the difference in class prevented them from turning the tide.

With a 3-0 victory, Thailand advanced to the King's Cup 2025 final to face Iraq – the strongest opponent in the tournament – while Fiji will compete for third place against Hong Kong (China).
