Thanh Hoa has a new Director of the Department of Health

(Dan Tri) - Mr. Do Minh Tuan, Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, signed a decision to appoint Mr. Le Van Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, to hold the position of Director of the Department of Health of Thanh Hoa province.

According to the decision, Mr. Le Van Cuong was appointed as Director of Thanh Hoa Department of Health for a term of 5 years, starting from August 5.

Previously, the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee decided to assign Mr. Le Van Cuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health, to be in charge of operating the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health, starting from July 1.

Mr. Le Van Cuong (born in 1978), from Hoang Hoa commune, Thanh Hoa province. He graduated as a medical doctor from Hanoi Medical University in 2002; a cardiology resident at Hanoi Medical University in 2006; a master's degree in health planning and policy at Leeds University (UK) in 2014; and a doctorate in medicine at the 108 Institute of Clinical Medicine and Pharmacy in 2017.

With more than 20 years of working in the health sector, Mr. Le Van Cuong has held many leadership and management positions.

Since December 2018, Mr. Le Van Cuong has held the position of Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital.

In July 2021, he was a member of the 15th National Assembly and a member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Social Affairs.

In 2023, he was appointed Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Department of Health.

He is currently holding the position of Deputy Director of Hanoi Medical University Branch in Thanh Hoa, affiliated with Hanoi Medical University.
