According to the decision, Mr. Le Van Cuong has been appointed Director of the Thanh Hoa Department of Health for a term of 5 years, starting from August 5th.
Previously, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province decided to assign Mr. Le Van Cuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Department of Health of Thanh Hoa province, to be in charge of managing the operations of the Department of Health of Thanh Hoa province, effective from July 1st.

Mr. Le Van Cuong (born in 1978) is from Hoang Hoa commune, Thanh Hoa province. He graduated with a medical degree from Hanoi Medical University in 2002; completed his Cardiology residency at Hanoi Medical University in 2006; earned a Master's degree in Health Planning and Policy from the University of Leeds (UK) in 2014; and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the 108 Clinical Medical Research Institute in 2017.
With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector, Mr. Le Van Cuong has held numerous leadership and management positions.
Since December 2018, Mr. Le Van Cuong has held the position of Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital.
In July 2021, he was a member of the 15th National Assembly and a member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society.
In 2023, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Thanh Hoa Department of Health.
He currently also serves as the Deputy Director of the Thanh Hoa Branch of Hanoi Medical University, which is under the direct management of Hanoi Medical University.
