Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate draws lots to select people to have their assets and income verified in the second phase of 2025.

Member of the City Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Chief Inspector of the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate Bui Duy Hien chaired the conference. Also attending, witnessing and supervising the drawing were representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Inspection Committee, representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center and representatives of the leaders of the units selected to verify assets and income.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Chief Inspector of the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate Bui Duy Hien said that the verification of assets and income is a regular task, carried out annually with the goal of detecting limitations and shortcomings in the declaration of assets and income of the verified person, ensuring consistency in implementation, promptly proposing adjustments to inadequate regulations and strictly handling cases of intentional fraud and dishonesty in asset and income declaration.

Thereby, assessing the current status of compliance with legal regulations of cadres, civil servants as well as agencies and units in the city on declaring, publicizing and controlling assets and income. At the same time, raising awareness and responsibility of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the work of declaring, publicizing and controlling assets and income; gradually affirming the role of asset and income control in preventing and combating corruption and negativity.

Representatives of the HCM City Department of Tourism randomly selected individuals to have their assets and income verified.

This time, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City selected 03 agencies and units to verify assets and income, including: Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice; Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Research and Development with a total of 108 people required to declare assets and income.

According to the prescribed ratio (at least 10% of the total number of people required to declare assets and income annually are randomly selected to verify assets and income), the City Inspectorate organized a draw, randomly selecting 11 individuals from the 3 above-mentioned units to conduct the second verification of assets and income in 2025.

According to Head of the Department of Inspection for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negativity (Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate) Nguyen Thi Kim Hang, the drawing conference took place seriously, in accordance with procedures, openly, transparently, objectively and in accordance with legal regulations on asset and income verification.

The representative of the City Inspectorate requested the leaders of the 03 agencies, organizations and units selected for verification in the second phase of 2025 to lead and direct the people selected for verification today in their units to proactively provide information related to the verification content when requested by the Asset and Income Verification Team and be responsible for the accuracy of the information provided; Fully and promptly implement the requests of the Asset and Income Verification Team, competent agencies, organizations and individuals during the process of verifying assets and income; Explain the honesty, completeness and clarity of the declaration and the origin of the assets and additional income.
