EU imposes anti-dumping tax on hot-rolled steel from Vietnam and some other countries

News from the Ministry of Industry and Trade today said that the EU has imposed anti-dumping taxes on hot-rolled steel from Vietnam, Japan and Egypt.

Specifically, on September 26, the European Commission announced regulations on anti-dumping taxes on hot-rolled steel from Egypt, Japan and Vietnam and ended the investigation into imports of similar products from India.

Anti-dumping duties are imposed on certain flat-rolled products of iron, non-alloy or other alloy steel, not further worked than hot-rolled, not clad, plated or coated, originating from Egypt, Japan and Vietnam.

The official anti-dumping tax rate for Vietnamese products is 12.1% applied to net prices, free prices at the European Union border...

Current anti-dumping measures do not apply to Vietnamese exporting manufacturer Hoa Phat Group.
