Removing obstacles for commune and ward health stations.

On the afternoon of April 28th, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to discuss and resolve difficulties and obstacles faced by commune and ward health stations in the province. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan chaired the conference.

According to the Department of Health 's report, the province currently has 64 commune and ward health stations with 1,695 personnel (including 1,518 civil servants and 177 professional contract staff). However, the distribution of personnel is uneven, and there are still difficulties in placement, failing to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.

At the conference, representatives from health centers reported numerous difficulties following the restructuring, primarily related to personnel shortages; limitations in facilities and equipment; drug supply mechanisms; inadequacies in policies; and the management of electronic health record software. They also requested increased professional guidance, investment in equipment, and personnel training to meet the healthcare needs at the grassroots level.

Representatives from the Department of Health and other departments and agencies exchanged views and clarified the issues raised; they requested that the units continue to proactively compile difficulties in order to promptly resolve them and ensure the fulfillment of their tasks.

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan requested the Department of Health to take the lead in guiding the implementation of the organizational structure and job position plan; the People's Committees at the commune level should proactively allocate funds, upgrade facilities and equipment according to regulations; and at the same time strengthen training, apply technology, digital transformation and have appropriate policies to stabilize the grassroots health workforce.
