TTH.VN - On the evening of May 26, the Executive Committee - Organizing Committee of the Buddha's Birthday PL.2567-DL.2023 in Thua Thien Hue held a ceremony to light up 7 lotus flowers on the Perfume River at Nghinh Luong Dinh.

Since the Vesak Festival in 2008 until now, on the occasion of Buddha's birthday, the image of 7 shining lotus flowers has appeared on the Perfume River to welcome the 7 pure footsteps of the Buddha when he was born. This is also the symbol to signal to the people and Buddhists of the Perfume River - Ngu Mountain area that another Buddha's birthday has come.

According to information from the Executive Committee - Organizing Committee of the Great Ceremony, 7 lotus flowers this year will be honored and lit at night on the Perfume River during the entire Buddha's Birthday Week.

In addition, during the Buddha's birthday week PL.2567-DL.2023, many activities will take place at locations such as Nghinh Luong Dinh, Lieu Quan, Quoc Tu Dieu De, Tu Dam Ancestral Temple... with main programs such as: Buddhist cultural exhibition, vegetarian food buffet, flower car parade, bathing ceremony, Buddha procession...
