TTH.VN - On the evening of May 26th, the Executive Board and Organizing Committee of the Buddha's Birthday Celebration PL.2567-DL.2023 in Thua Thien Hue organized a ceremony to light seven lotus flowers on the Perfume River at Nghinh Luong Pavilion.

Since the Vesak Festival in 2008, during the Buddha's birthday season, seven radiant lotus flowers appear on the Perfume River to welcome the seven pure footsteps of the Buddha during his birth. This is also a symbol to signal to the people and Buddhists of the Perfume River - Ngu Mountain region that another Buddha's birthday season has arrived.

According to information from the Executive Board - Organizing Committee of the Grand Ceremony, seven lotus flowers will be placed and illuminated at night on the Perfume River throughout the Buddha's Birthday Week.

In addition, during the Buddha's Birthday week (Buddhist Era 2567 - Gregorian Calendar 2023), many activities will take place at Nghinh Luong Dinh, Lieu Quan, Dieu De National Temple, Tu Dam Ancestral Temple, etc., with main programs such as: Buddhist cultural exhibition, vegetarian buffet, flower float parade, bathing ceremony, Buddha procession…
