In recent days, several Cambodian news and media outlets, such as Khmer Times and CNC, have published numerous articles and analyses revolving around the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025).

Among these, CNC television channel, part of Royal Group, broadcast a special in-depth commentary program on February 5th revolving around the theme "The 95-Year Political Path of the Communist Party of Vietnam," primarily inspired by General Secretary To Lam's recent article "Brilliant Vietnam."

According to the VNA correspondent in Phnom Penh, in the commentary program "World Today" broadcast in the early afternoon of February 5th, the CNC television channel dedicated the entire final part of the program to a discussion and analysis revolving around the 95-year journey of establishment, development, and leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the neighboring country, with guest journalist Khieu Kola, senior advisor to the President of the Cambodian Journalists Club (CCJ), and senior editor of CNC.

Opening the talk show with the theme "The 95-Year Political Path of the Communist Party of Vietnam," speaker and veteran journalist Khieu Kola explained that he proposed discussing the Communist Party of Vietnam because it is the ruling party in Cambodia's neighboring country.

In addition, on February 3rd, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of its founding, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam published an article in multiple languages, which was also published by the Vietnam News Agency, and which he found very insightful.

According to a senior editor at CNC, in the aforementioned 9-page article, General Secretary To Lam stated that Vietnam currently has 5.3 million party members, equivalent to more than 5% of the population. He emphasized that the Communist Party of Vietnam was founded in 1930, amidst a unique historical context and with a special mission, when Vietnam was invaded by French colonialists from the mid-19th century and subjected to brutal rule, causing the Vietnamese people to suffer slavery and misery.

The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam noted that in the current new context, Party building work needs to be given increased attention in the spirit of innovation, implemented more decisively, and focused on key priority issues.

Answering a question from the program editor about the role and contributions of the Vietnamese Government and the Communist Party to world peace and security, the veteran Cambodian journalist stated that, as a member of the Politburo, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is responsible for implementing the Party's political platform and guidelines as mentioned.

And in the article "Radiant Vietnam," at point number 7, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the key task for 2025, requiring Party committees at all levels to focus their efforts and intellect on ensuring the maintenance of peace in the country and completing the tasks and targets set out in the Party plan.

According to Khieu Kola, this means that the government, the working class, farmers, and the Communist Party of Vietnam must fulfill their duty to maintain peace and resolve issues peacefully, without using force against any country.

He further explained that regarding the South China Sea issue, Vietnam chooses to resolve it peacefully, through the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

With a desire to contribute more actively to peace, Vietnam has deployed its military forces to participate in peacekeeping operations at United Nations peacekeeping missions.

In the article "Radiant Vietnam," widely published in domestic media on February 2nd, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the need to continue steadfastly adhering to the Party's goals and ideals, affirming that the Communist Party of Vietnam does not exist for its own benefit but operates for the benefit of the entire people.

Commenting on this, journalist Khieu Kola stated that the ideals of General Secretary To Lam are also the original ideals of President Ho Chi Minh, the founder of the Communist Party of Vietnam in Hong Kong (China), on February 3, 1930.

From that perspective, the veteran Cambodian journalist observed that since its inception, the Communist Party of Vietnam has led the country through periods of struggle against colonialism and imperialism, defeating France and the United States.

Finally, in the late 1970s, the Communist Party of Vietnam supported the Cambodian People's Revolutionary Party in overthrowing the Pol Pot genocidal regime, bringing about new life and peacebuilding in Cambodia and the region.

Furthermore, as an active member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the United Nations, Vietnam, under the leadership of the Communist Party, has always cherished peace and condemned acts of violence and war around the world.

In the talk show, which lasted over 10 minutes, speaker Khieu Kola also reviewed and analyzed other strategic directions in the article "Radiant Vietnam" by the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam.

The article emphasizes the need for continuous improvement of the Party's theoretical system; continued building and rectification of a clean and strong Party; a determination to consolidate the political system's organizational structure towards a streamlined, effective, and efficient operation, overcoming cumbersome and overlapping structures; attention to building a team of cadres, especially key cadres at all levels; and strengthening the application of science and technology and digital transformation in Party building work...

In addition, veteran writer Khieu Kola expressed his admiration and appreciation for Vietnam's flexible foreign policy under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam in recent times.

That is a consistent foreign policy of not participating in military alliances, not interfering in the internal affairs of other countries; at the same time, establishing cooperative relationships on the basis of respect, equality, and parity with major countries in the world such as China, Russia, France, the UK, the US.../.
