• LOVE SCHOOL, LOVE STUDENTS, PASSION FOR SCIENTIFIC INNOVATION
Working at Dong Da school since 2008, Mr. Tran Quang Vinh Chanh immediately became attached to this suburban school and its students. “Fortunately, when I first came to the school, I received great support from the Board of Directors, the students’ passion for learning, and the companionship of my colleagues. In fact, at that time, Dong Da school was still facing difficulties, and the general economic life of the students’ families had not improved much. But in the students, I always saw a spirit of eagerness to learn, enthusiasm, and passion for learning. That urged me to try my best every day to accompany my students,” Mr. Tran Quang Vinh Chanh confided.
As a teacher of Information Technology, Mr. Tran Quang Vinh Chanh immediately implementededucational activities to guide students to be passionate and explore the subject. Learning to program robots, learning to make technical tools, etc., Dong Da students always receive enthusiastic support from their teachers. The school built a workshop with full tools, a space for teachers and students to freely create and be passionate. Information Technology, if simply put, is just operations on the keyboard and the internet. But if you guide the students, you will see that the students are very creative and eager to learn. Right from the beginning of his schooling, Mr. Chanh has embarked on the path of nurturing excellent students in Information Technology. From the first days, when students first got acquainted with computers until now, the provincial and national awards that have become familiar to them all have the shadow of the teacher.
“I bring students to love information technology as a science , guide them to use it for the right purpose, serve their studies, reduce dependence on video games, on useless clips on the internet”, Mr. Tran Quang Vinh Chanh confided. Through many ways to stimulate students' curiosity, the teacher has become closer to them, guiding many classes of Dong Da school students to participate in programming awards. Therefore, Mr. Chanh's students have also won many programming awards such as: First prize in the Programming Contest with Dariu, The Coolest Project Malaysia, Second prize in the Lam Dong Provincial Startup Competition; First prize in the Provincial Science and Technology Competition; Prospective award in the National Youth Informatics Competition. Each result is a discovery of the students about technology, and more importantly, step by step affirming their ability to master and create technology.
• STUDENTS' GROWTH IS TEACHERS' PRIDE
Mr. Tran Quang Vinh Chanh is also a teacher who is passionate about research with his personal creations. He has won many Science and Technology Innovation Competitions with topics such as: Creating "eyes" for the blind using artificial intelligence. To support the blind in their studies and daily lives, Mr. Tran Quang Vinh Chanh has created smart glasses with integrated virtual assistants and computer vision so that the blind can read books, describe space, and be more convenient in their studies as well as in their lives. At the same time, many of his other creations such as the student attendance system in schools have helped schools manage students more closely. Author Tran Quang Vinh Chanh is also honored to be included in the IT textbook series for high school students, a very proud achievement for a teacher.
"My personal achievements are insignificant compared to my students' achievements," said Mr. Tran Quang Vinh Chanh excitedly. Twin brothers Le Kha Huy - Le Kha Hoang, two young people who just won the fourth prize in the National Science and Technology Innovation Competition with a device to support people with learning disabilities, love their teacher very much: "He is very close, attached and enthusiastic with his students. His guidance has helped us solve many problems in the process of making devices as well as programming. Many of his students have graduated and gone to university to support us. Not only us but all the students in the school love him and are enthusiastically taught by him." Ms. Ha Nguyen Bao Khuyen - Principal of Dong Da School is also very proud of her colleague: "Mr. Tran Quang Vinh Chanh is an exemplary teacher, loves and is attached to his students, is good at his profession and has a great sense of responsibility. In the competitions for excellent teachers and the school's topics that need technological support, he always participates and contributes to help the school achieve high results. We are very proud of our teacher."
But most importantly, the pride of teacher Tran Quang Vinh Chanh is the maturity of each class of students. “My message to my students is always to keep the love for learning, strive to work, build yourself, build your family and build your homeland. The award is very precious, but to me, what is more precious is the maturity of each student, their love for learning, for their homeland. This is also the ideal for me to be attached to the podium for the rest of my life,” teacher Chanh shared.
