In 2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will open 6 rounds of thinking assessment exams in 10 provinces and cities including: Hanoi, Hung Yen, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Da Nang.

Two rounds of exams have been completed, and the third round is scheduled to take place in March 2024. Candidates will be granted a certificate of exam results valid for 2 years to apply for admission touniversities across the country in need.

In 2023, more than 30 higher education institutions used the results of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment test for admission. This year, the number of schools using the results of this test for admission is expected to continue to increase.

The Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment - Ho Chi Minh City National University has just announced a list of 105 universities and colleges that have registered to use the school's capacity assessment test results for admission in 2024. Of which, 88 external training units use the test results to partially consider admission quotas in 2024.

According to the plan, this year's Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam will be held in two rounds before the national high school graduation exam.

In 2024, Hanoi National University plans to organize 6 rounds of exams. The first round of registration opened on February 18. This registration will be for candidates taking the exam between March 23 and 24.

According to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao - Director of the Examination Center of Hanoi National University, in 2023, nearly 70 universities have registered to use the results of the school's capacity assessment exam. This year, the number of universities using the results of the Hanoi National University's capacity assessment exam for admission may be up to nearly 100 universities in the Northern region. In addition, some universities in the Southern region will also continue to register to use the exam results in the coming time.

To participate in the ability assessment and thinking assessment exam with the highest results, many candidates have the mentality of finding a "cram school". However, school representatives note that candidates need to have a firm grasp of the exam structure and question types in order to have a suitable review plan.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao - Director of the Testing Center, Hanoi National University said that the simplest way to do well on the competency assessment test is for candidates to spend time doing the sample test before the registration date. Doing the sample test before the exam day helps candidates get familiar with the test structure, question types, and calculate the time for each question to make the most appropriate choice.

Hanoi National University of Education has also announced the reference exam for the 2024 competency assessment exam to help candidates have a direction in their studies. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Son - Vice Principal of the school informed that the school plans to organize the exam only once a year on May 11.

The structure of the exam remains the same as last year. Therefore, the leaders of Hanoi National University of Education affirmed that to participate in the competency assessment exam, candidates do not need to go through a "training camp". The school's lecturers do not organize competency assessment exam preparation courses, so candidates should not trust the training classes.

School lecturers can participate in writing the exam questions, but that does not mean they will use the exam questions of that lecturer. When there is a test bank, the school can take random combinations, not the exam questions of any individual. In reality, many teachers and lecturers create the exam questions, so no one can connect with the outside to organize exam preparation for students.
