In 2025, 13 more schools will consider the competency assessment test scores of Hanoi National University of Education.

Up to now, 22 universities have used the 2025 competency assessment test scores of Hanoi National University of Education for admission, an increase of 13 schools compared to last year.

On the morning of November 21, Hanoi National University of Education informed about the school's independent exam to assess capacity (SPT exam) in 2025.

This year, the SPT exam of Hanoi National University of Education takes place on May 17 and 18, 2025, with 8 subjects: Math, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography.

Of the 22 schools using the SPT exam scores of Hanoi National University of Education, 9 schools have used the results of this exam since last year, including the universities: Hanoi National University of Education, Hanoi National University of Education 2, Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education, Quy Nhon University, Vinh University, Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy; the schools of education under Thai Nguyen University, Hue University, and Da Nang University.

The 13 new schools on this list are the universities: Vinh Technical Education, Hanoi Construction,Education Management, Hanoi Capital, Tay Bac, Hai Phong, Ha Long, Hoa Lu, Hong Duc, Tay Nguyen, Thu Dau Mot, along with the Academy of Education Management and the Vietnam Women's Academy.

Hanoi National University of Education said that the list of schools using SPT exam scores will continue to be updated by the school.

Candidates can register for the exam and use the exam results to apply for admission to regular university training programs according to the requirements of each university.

Each university has different regulations on the number and combination of subjects to get the exam results and apply for training programs. Therefore, candidates need to carefully study the admission plan of each school to register for the correct and sufficient number of subjects, suitable for their admission wishes.

Also according to Hanoi National University of Education, from 2026, the school plans to add the subjects of Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, and Technology to the SPT exam.

Regarding the exam questions, the content of the exams corresponds to the content of high school subjects and exams; in accordance with the 2018 General Education Program and the teaching, testing and assessment orientation of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The test combines multiple-choice and essay questions with appropriate scoring scales according to the structure of each test; assessing the level of understanding of core knowledge and the ability to reason, analyze, evaluate, solve problems and be creative. Candidates take the test directly in the examination room, answering questions by filling in the multiple-choice answer sheet (TLTN) and writing on the test paper.

The specific question types and answers are as follows:

Form 2	Multiple choice questions True/False. Each question has 4 options ( a , b , c , d ), for each option the candidate chooses true or false. The maximum score for a True/False question is 1 point: - Candidates only choose 0.1 point correctly in 1 question. - Candidates who choose only 2 correct answers in 1 question will get 0.25 points. - Candidates who choose only 3 correct answers in 1 question will get 0.5 points. - Candidates who choose all 4 options correctly in 1 question get 1 point.
Form 3	The questions are in short answer format. Candidates only write the results, not the reasoning. For each correct answer, the candidate gets 0.25 points.	Write on exam paper
Form 4	Essay questions. Candidates present their reasoning process and results. The specific answers and grading scale will be announced after the exam ends.

Candidates can register to take the exam at one of the following 4 exam locations: Hanoi National University of Education, Vinh University, Quy Nhon University, and University of Education - Danang University.

Registration period is from March 15 to April 15, 2025. The school will announce the SPT exam scores before June 15, 2025.
