Linh Tay Ward Police and Tang Nhon Phu B Ward Police are receiving petitions from parents regarding the suspension of operations of the Australian Language Center and Australian Language Center 1.
The police are consolidating the case file and transferring it to the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department for consideration, investigation and clarification...
According to Dan Tri reporters, hundreds of parents are compiling documents and sending applications to authorities in two forms: direct submission and submission via the electronic identification application (VNIED).
As of May 19, the amount of money that the group of parents sent a petition to the authorities, compiled through the receipts of 310 students paid to the Australian Language Center 1 (address 729-731 Kha Van Can, Linh Tay Ward, Thu Duc City) was more than 11.3 billion VND.
Australia Foreign Language Center (address 182-184-186 Le Van Viet, Tang Nhon Phu B Ward, Thu Duc City) is reported to have received more than 4.6 billion VND in tuition fees from 104 students, of which 1.7 billion VND has been taught and the remaining nearly 2.9 billion VND has not been taught.
The most amount of money parents paid was more than 86 million VND and the least was more than 8 million VND.

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City said that these two centers have not yet reported their suspension of operations and have not received reports of "investors fleeing". This unit said that it has proactively worked with the Linh Tay Ward Police and the Tang Nhon Phu B Ward Police (where the two centers are located) to obtain information.
The center's latest establishment and operating license was granted in 2023. AIES's first-quarter report shows that the two facilities have 316 students, 12 Vietnamese teachers and 8 staff.
According to the Department of Education and Training, since its establishment, the Australian Foreign Language Center has operated "relatively stably", with regular reports and participation in training sessions organized by the Department.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training is considering suspending its operations after allegations of abruptly closing and cutting off contact despite having collected billions of dong in tuition fees from parents. In addition to considering suspendingeducational activities here, the Department has requested the City Police to revoke its seal according to regulations.
In the coming time, the Department of Education and Training will continue to coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City Police, Linh Tay Ward Police, and Tang Nhon Phu B Ward Police to grasp the situation; organize citizen receptions to receive information and guide citizens to contact competent authorities for consideration and resolution.
A week ago, many parents of the Australian Language Center were confused when they could not contact the director and both facilities were closed. Many people said that the center announced that it would be temporarily closed from May 8-14 for repairs after heavy rains but then did not reopen.
