The Ministry of Health has worked with Bac Ninh province on the project to build a facility for Hanoi Medical University in this province. Accordingly, the project to build a facility for Hanoi Medical University in Bac Ninh province has been introduced by the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province at a location of about 30 hectares, located in the Bac Ninh Science and Technology Application Research Training Area (Tien Du district).
The project aims to develop a sufficient number of medical human resources with high quality, which is the premise for Hanoi Medical University to become a key nationaluniversity in the top group in Asia. The scale of the project includes: Construction of training areas, hospitals and high-tech medical research institutes with a total estimated investment of 3,150 billion VND.
To implement the project, the Ministry of Health proposed that Bac Ninh province consider and provide financial support and carry out compensation, site clearance, resettlement and investment in technical infrastructure for the project using the provincial budget for the period 2026 - 2030.
The Ministry of Health will report to the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance to supplement the medium-term public investment capital for the period 2021 - 2025, thereby allocating it to the project of building a facility of Hanoi Medical University in Bac Ninh province.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan said that in the near future, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province will submit to the Provincial People's Council for approval a resolution on specific mechanisms and policies to support attracting prestigious and high-quality universities and colleges to Bac Ninh. After the resolution is approved, it will contribute to creating an open mechanism and having budget sources for high-quality training institutions, including the Hanoi Medical University project, to immediately implement investment in building facilities in Bac Ninh.
Mr. Tuan affirmed that Bac Ninh province will provide maximum support for the Hanoi Medical University project in the province to be implemented soon. In particular, Bac Ninh province will support the work of compensation, site clearance and construction of protective fences and technical infrastructure of the land according to the design. In addition, Bac Ninh province will support the implementation of additional roads within the campus.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province assigned the Provincial Civil and Urban Development Project Management Board to be the investor to implement the province's items in the project to build the Hanoi Medical University facility in Bac Ninh province.
By May 26, 2025 at the latest, the Department of Finance of Bac Ninh province must complete the draft submission of the Provincial Party Committee to the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and complete the draft resolution of the Provincial People's Council on specific mechanisms and policies to support attracting prestigious and high-quality universities and colleges to Bac Ninh.
