Comrade Nguyen Van Chi was born in 1945, his hometown is Hoa Tien commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city; he joined the Party on June 14, 1965 , officially on June 14, 1966. He joined the revolution very early and held many positions , taking on many important positions in Quang Nam - Da Nang province . In December 1986 , he was elected to the Central Executive Committee of the Party, term VI, holding the position of Secretary of the Quang Nam - Da Nang Provincial Party Committee. From 1994 to 1995, he was appointed as a Party and Government Envoy to the Central and Central Highlands regions. From 1996 to 2000, he was assigned to hold the position of Deputy Head and then Head of the Central Internal Political Protection Committee.

At the 7th Central Conference of the 9th term (January 2003 ), comrade Nguyen Van Chi was elected to the Secretariat, holding the position of Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee. At the 10th Party Congress (2006) , he continued to be elected to the Central Executive Committee, elected by the Central Committee to the Politburo and the Secretariat. As Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission from 2003 to 2011, he, together with the leadership of the Central Inspection Commission, contributed valuable experience to the Party Inspection Sector , and proactively proposed to the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat many important issues on Party building and the political system in general, and the Party's inspection and supervision work in particular, creating an important foundation for the current operating model of the Central Inspection Commission... Comrade Nguyen Van Chi's contributions have contributed to the overall achievements of the Party Inspection Sector " Absolutely loyal, united, honest, upright, disciplined and dedicated" , and was awarded the noble Gold Star Medal by the Party and the State on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Party Inspection Sector 's Traditional Day ( October 16, 1948 - October 16 , 2008 ) .

During 60 years in the Party , regardless of his position, comrade Nguyen Van Chi always maintained the qualities of a communist soldier , constantly striving to excellently complete all assigned tasks. As a member of the Party Central Committee of the 6th , 7th , 8th , 9th , 10th terms ; Secretary of the Party Central Committee of the 9th and 10th terms, member of the Politburo of the 10th term and a National Assembly delegate of the 11th and 12th terms, he made many contributions to the cause of national renewal and successfully implemented all policies, guidelines and policies of the Party and laws of the State, making an important contribution to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the country. With his outstanding contributions and achievements in work, he was awarded the Ho Chi Minh Medal by the Party and the State and many other medals, badges, commemorative medals, certificates of merit, badges of 40 years, 50 years, 55 years in the Party. In daily life, he was always simple, modest, sincere, and close to everyone.
