Minister Nguyen Van Hung: Solidarity and determination to fulfill important tasks in the coming time

On the morning of August 22, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung chaired a meeting to review important tasks of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the coming time.

Attending the meeting were Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh; Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong; Deputy Minister Phan Tam and leaders of Departments, Divisions and functional units of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung chaired a meeting to review important tasks of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the coming time.

At the meeting, Minister Nguyen Van Hung listened to the report and gave his opinions on a number of important contents related to the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025); the Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremony of the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of National Day; the Special Art Program on the evening of September 1 hosted by the Ministry at My Dinh National Stadium; the concert "Vietnam in Me" and the activities of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in preparation for the National Day Parade on September 2.

Giving instructions on each specific content, Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that these are all extremely important tasks, of interest to Party and State leaders and the general public.

Regarding the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector’s Traditional Day, which will take place tomorrow morning (August 23), Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that this is an important event for the Sector. The Ceremony, with the participation of Party and State leaders, shows the great concern of the leaders for the Cultural Sector. Therefore, the preparation work must be carried out carefully and thoroughly, absolutely not allowing any negligence to occur.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung gave directions on important tasks of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the coming time.

Regarding the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, the Minister said that the Exhibition was organized on an unprecedented scale, and was one of the highlight activities in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was assigned to be the standing agency of the Exhibition Steering Committee. Over the past time, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with relevant agencies, has made great efforts and urgently prepared for the Exhibition. The Minister requested that the Opening and Closing Ceremonies be organized solemnly, impressively, solemnly and emotionally, fully meeting the requirements on content, form and meaning set forth by the Organizing Committee.

Regarding the Special Art Program on the evening of September 1 hosted by the Ministry at My Dinh National Stadium, Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that this is a very important political art program. The program must be elaborately staged, harmoniously combining art and politics, creating emotional moments, arousing national pride and love for the Fatherland.

Similarly, regarding the concert "Vietnam in me", the Minister requested relevant units to coordinate and organize it methodically and carefully, meeting artistic and technical requirements, conveying meaningful messages, creating strong impressions, spreading pride and love for the homeland and country to the public.

For the mass, artistic, and typographic forces participating in the National Day Parade and March on September 2, the Minister requested that units prepare seriously, organize thorough training, and ensure unity, discipline, and performance effectiveness.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung also requested to ensure absolute security and safety for events, especially events that attract large crowds such as art shows. Continue to review tasks and remove obstacles and bottlenecks.

The Minister requested all units to join in with the highest determination, unite to overcome difficulties, and ensure the successful completion of upcoming important tasks.

* Earlier, on the same morning, Minister Nguyen Van Hung and leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism attended and directed the General Rehearsal of the Program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025) at the Opera House, Hanoi .

At the rehearsal, Minister Nguyen Van Hung highly appreciated the efforts and elaborate staging of the artists, actors, and theaters; at the same time, he suggested that the art program should be shortened and condensed to ensure the overall duration of the Anniversary, but still clearly demonstrate the contributions and pride of the cultural sector during 80 years of building, protecting and developing the country.
