Tourism cooperation between Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong provinces is entering a new phase, promising to open a unique inter-regional tourism route.

Khanh Hoa Tourism Association has just coordinated with Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Lam Dong Tourism Association, businesses of the two localities to organize a thematic survey trip to key destinations of Lam Dong. The goal is to build tourism products that perfectly connect three typical highlights: Sea (Nha Trang) - tea (Bao Loc) - flowers (Da Lat).

Through surveys, many tourism business representatives all agree that “Bao Loc tea land” is a famous capital with vast tea hills and is the leading tea production center in Vietnam. The ideal climate and terrain here have nurtured tea varieties that have been widely grown since the 1930s, creating the unique, globally famous flavor of Bao Loc Tea. Bao Loc is not only an agricultural granary but also possesses diverse cultural agricultural tourism potential.

Coming to this space, visitors will have an exciting journey of discovery about tea. Accordingly, visitors will fully explore the process of making premium teapots, from witnessing the lush green tea plantations, the meticulous harvesting process, to the elaborate processing stage. The diverse climate and terrain, from warm coastal sunshine (Khanh Hoa) to cool, highland (Bao Loc, Da Lat), creates a variety of experiences, from beach resorts, water sports, to tea culture tourism, high-tech agriculture and mountain resorts.

Meanwhile, Mr. Le Kim Nhut, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Tour Guide Association, said that strengthening the connection of transport infrastructure and building inter-route tour packages will help tourists travel easily, optimizing time and costs. This cooperation not only enriches the tourism products of each locality but also contributes to promoting sustainable tourism economic development for the entire South Central Coast and Central Highlands. Inter-regional tourism of sea - tea - flowers is a strategic solution, maximizing the advantages of the two provinces, bringing tourists complete, memorable and different experiences.

Besides the advantages, some tourism businesses in Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong provinces said that because the tourist route from Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) - Da Lat and Bao Loc (Lam Dong) is far apart, the mountain pass makes traveling difficult for tourists. Therefore, the inter-regional combination must be calculated and built appropriately to make it as convenient as possible for tourists to come here.

A representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province said that Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong are two tourism centers of the region and the whole country, with many advantages to develop high-quality tourism. The two localities are always ideal destinations for domestic and foreign tourists to visit, relax and experience. To promote the existing advantages, in recent times, the two provinces have focused many resources to develop tourism in a high-quality and sustainable direction, strengthening tourism connections between the two localities.

Thanks to the identification of the importance of development linkage, over the past 10 years, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong have organized many cooperation activities. Starting from 2014, the two localities signed a cooperation agreement on socio-economic development. On that basis, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong have proactively implemented linkage and cooperation tasks in socio-economic development. Up to now, this cooperation has achieved some positive results, mainly in the fields of: Investment promotion, industry and trade, tourism, agriculture, health. Particularly in the tourism sector, the combination of sea (Nha Trang) - tea (Bao Loc) - flowers (Da Lat) will create a strong regional linkage, optimally exploiting advantages to bring domestic and foreign tourists to the two localities.
