According to VietNamNet reporters, on the morning of October 8, many places in Thai Nguyen province were deeply flooded.
Streets in Thai Nguyen province almost turned into rivers, many houses were flooded above the first floor.
Also this morning, authorities used canoes to take people from isolated areas to safety.
Many rescue teams from provinces and cities also came to support.
Although it has stopped raining, the water level in Thai Nguyen still shows no signs of receding.
The house was flooded up to the roof.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, early this morning, the water level on the Cau River at Gia Bay station (Thai Nguyen) peaked at 29.9m - 2.9m higher than the level 3 warning and 1.09m higher than the historical flood level in 2024 caused by storm Yagi .
In Soi Coc hamlet (Trung Thanh ward), the rising water level of Cau river also caused widespread flooding, affecting the residential groups: Ben Ca, Dong Lam, Dinh Phu Coc, Loi Ben, Tan Thinh 1, Tien Bo, Thanh Van, about 400 households were affected.
Although located in the central area, many places here are still flooded from 2 to 3 meters deep. On the night of October 7, the Thai Nguyen Regional Power Management Team announced that they had to temporarily stop supplying electricity to the wards of Phan Dinh Phung, Quyet Thang, Quan Trieu, Gia Sang, Tich Luong and Tan Cuong commune due to heavy rains leading to high water levels and flooding of electrical equipment.
Many means of transport were submerged. Instead, people had to use boats to move around.

According to Thai Nguyen Provincial Police, local police units have mobilized more than 5,000 officers and soldiers from professional forces of the provincial police, police of communes, wards, Yen Binh Industrial Park Police Station and over 2,000 vehicles and equipment such as motorboats, canoes, life jackets, buoys and other rescue vehicles... to respond to floods, rescue and relief. Authorities have assisted in moving hundreds of households and their belongings to safe areas, including many elderly people, women and children; and in transporting essential supplies to people in isolated areas. Relief and evacuation work is still underway despite many difficulties due to strong currents, deep flooding and limited access.
