There are 17 teams participating in this year's season.
This year's season has a total of 17 participating teams including: An Giang, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Hanoi Bulls, Hoai Duc, Luxury Ha Long, Phu Dong FC, STP FOOD HCMC, Becamex HCMC Youth, Hanoi Police Youth, Dak Lak Youth, Thong Nhat Youth - TPG, Dao Ha Football Center, Ha Tinh Sports Training and Exercise Center, Khanh Hoa Sports Training and Exercise Center, Dong Nai University of Technology and Truong Giang - Gia Dinh.
The teams are divided into three groups:
Group A (hosted by Hoai Duc Football Joint Stock Company) includes: Hanoi Bulls, Hoai Duc, Luxury Ha Long, Phu Dong FC, Dao Ha Football Center, Hanoi Police Youth.
Group B (hosted by Dak Lak Sports Training and Training Center) includes: Dak Lak Youth, Thong Nhat - TPG Youth, Becamex HCMC Youth, Khanh Hoa Sports Training and Training Center, Ha Tinh Sports Training and Training Center.
Group C (hosted by KENOS Joint Stock Company and Hoc Mon Cultural and Sports Service Center, Ho Chi Minh City) includes: An Giang , Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Dong Nai University of Technology, STP FOOD Ho Chi Minh City and Truong Giang - Gia Dinh.
The groups will compete in a round-robin format to calculate points and rank. The three group winners and the best second-placed team will qualify for the 2026 National Second Division. In case the number of teams between the groups is not equal, when considering the best second-placed team, the Organizing Committee will not count the results of the matches against the bottom team in the group with more teams, to ensure fairness in the number of matches.
The draw for the match schedule will be held online at 10:00 a.m. on October 9, 2025. Technical meetings will take place on October 24 for Group A and on October 25 for Groups B and C. The tournament will take place at three main locations: Group A at Hoai Duc Stadium (Hanoi), Group B at Buon Ma Thuot Stadium (Dak Lak) and Group C at Thoi Tu and Tan Hiep Stadiums (Hoc Mon, Ho Chi Minh City).
The 2025 National Third Division Football Tournament is expected to continue to play an important role in expanding the football movement, discovering and nurturing young player resources and promoting the development of clubs in localities across the country.
