Hoa Phat achieved sales output of 7.4 million tons of steel after 9 months

In the third quarter of 2025, Hoa Phat Group produced 2.8 million tons of crude steel, up 14% compared to the second quarter and up 35% compared to the same period in 2024. Sales volume of hot-rolled coil (HRC), construction steel, high-quality steel and steel billets reached 2.5 million tons, down 4% compared to the previous quarter and up 21% compared to the same period in 2024.

Hot rolled coil achieved sales volume of over 1.2 million tons, up 8% over the second quarter and up 71% over the same period in the third quarter of 2024

In the third quarter, sales of construction steel and high-quality steel coils recorded more than 1 million tons, down 17% compared to the second quarter. According to Mr. Dinh Quang Hieu - Head of Sales Department of Hoa Phat Hung Yen Steel Co., Ltd., the third quarter sales volume decreased due to the low season of construction activities, the 7th lunar month falls in this quarter. Stormy weather and floods occurred continuously, affecting the progress of projects and civil construction in general.

Hot rolled coil steel achieved sales of over 1.2 million tons, up 8% compared to the second quarter and up 71% compared to the same period in the third quarter of 2024. In September 2025 alone, HRC sales reached 477,000 tons, up 11% compared to August. Hoa Phat's downstream HRC products such as galvanized steel and steel pipes reached 120,000 tons and 225,000 tons respectively in the third quarter, a slight increase compared to the second quarter.

In the first 9 months of the year, Hoa Phat Group produced 7.9 million tons of crude steel, up 23% over the first 9 months of 2024. Sales of HRC, construction steel, high-quality steel and steel billets reached 7.4 million tons, up 22% over the first 9 months of last year.

Of which, the Group's construction steel and high-quality steel recorded 3.5 million tons, up 6% compared to the first 9 months of last year. Hoa Phat holds the No. 1 market share in Vietnam for construction steel with 37%.

With HRC products, Hoa Phat supplied the market with 3.43 million tons, an increase of 51% compared to the first 9 months of 2024. The Group's hot rolled coil steel accounts for more than 56% of the production and sales of this product in Vietnam, according to the report of the Vietnam Steel Association in September 2025.

After 9 months, Hoa Phat recorded 320,000 tons of galvanized steel, down 7% compared to the same period last year. Steel pipe products reached 627,000 tons, a sharp increase of 25% compared to the same period last year. Prestressed steel and wire rod of all kinds also grew 25% in sales volume with 116,000 tons, of which exports contributed 42%.

Construction steel and high-quality steel of the Group recorded 3.5 million tons, up 6% compared to the first 9 months of last year.

From the beginning of the second quarter to September 2025, blast furnaces No. 1 and No. 2 of the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Iron and Steel Complex project will come into operation, marking the synchronous completion of the project. The output of the entire Hoa Phat Dung Quat Complex will record rapid growth in the coming time, especially HRC steel.

Hoa Phat Group is the largest steel producer in Southeast Asia, equivalent to the Top 30 largest steel enterprises in the world . From 2026, Hoa Phat's steel production capacity will reach 16 million tons/year, including 9 million tons of HRC steel, high-quality steel, contributing to fully meeting the needs of domestic and foreign markets.
