The working delegation inspected the following projects: Flood control embankment along National Highway 1 through Bac Lieu province (old); river embankment in Bac Lieu city; construction of storm shelter and Cai Cung fishing wharf; renovation and upgrading of Dong Hai salt field infrastructure; erosion control and reinforcement of riverbed in Ganh Hao town.

The project to build the riverbank of Bac Lieu city (old) is implementing 04 packages with the volume of 30 - 45%, currently the project is stuck with site clearance because 16 households have not agreed to hand over. The project to build the flood control embankment of National Highway 1 is implementing 06 packages, the packages have reached 48 - 95%, currently there are 12 households that have not handed over the site. The project to renovate and upgrade the infrastructure of the Dong Hai salt field, up to now there are 26 households that have not handed over the site.

Regarding the investment project to build a storm shelter and Cai Cung fishing port, the volume has reached about 38% so far, and there are currently 38 households that have not yet handed over the site. The project to handle erosion and reinforce the riverbed of Ganh Hao town is implementing 03 packages, with the volume ranging from 18 - 54%, and there are still 17 households that have not yet handed over the site.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su worked with the Project Management Board and leaders of communes and wards related to the projects.

At the meeting, the Project Management Board proposed a plan to clear the land for the projects; requested local authorities to coordinate to mobilize people to quickly hand over the land; in cases of non-cooperation, there will be a plan to protect the construction or enforce according to regulations.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su directed: For cases where people have not yet handed over the site despite repeated efforts, the communes, wards and the Project Management Board must develop necessary plans to protect the construction and finally enforce according to regulations. The Project Management Board, construction units and localities need to proactively coordinate and agree on solutions to implement the construction in each phase.
