Officials and Party members of the Thanh Ba Commune Party Committee and People's Committee maintain a monthly flag-raising ceremony that includes listening to small but meaningful stories about the great President Ho Chi Minh .
As is customary, at the beginning of each month, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Ba commune solemnly organize the monthly flag-raising ceremony, combined with activities under the flag and listening to stories about President Ho Chi Minh. On June 1st, immediately after the solemn flag-raising ceremony, cadres and Party members listened to a story about "Hot Water, Cold Water" told by a cadre from the Party Building Committee and the Commune Political Center, as part of the June 2026 study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style. Although brief, the story contains profound lessons about the conduct, work attitude, and leadership style of President Ho Chi Minh.
Through the content of the short story, using the imagery of a cup of hot water and a cup of cold water, President Ho Chi Minh skillfully helped the cadres recognize their own shortcomings using a gentle, persuasive, and non-coercive educational method that profoundly influenced them. From President Ho Chi Minh's story, each cadre and Party member became more aware of the importance of maintaining calmness, composure, and proper conduct in words and actions.
Accordingly, in both work and life, knowing how to listen, acting sincerely, gently, and responsibly will contribute to creating consensus, strengthening internal unity, and consolidating the people's trust in the commune's officials and Party members...
Comrade Nguyen Kim Chi - Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Party Committee of Thanh Ba commune, emphasized: This lesson is even more practically meaningful for Thanh Ba commune in the current period when the entire political system is focusing on implementing socio-economic development tasks, Party building, and effectively operating the two-tiered local government model. Given the increasingly demanding work requirements, each official and civil servant needs to continue to uphold a sense of responsibility, enhance professionalism, practice good workplace culture, and maintain a service-oriented attitude towards the people.
According to the Party Secretary of Thanh Ba commune, through flag-raising ceremonies, cadres and Party members have had more opportunities to learn valuable lessons from Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; thereby regularly self-reflecting, self-correcting, and cultivating political acumen, public service ethics, and a working style that is close to the people, respects the people, and serves the people.
Following the tradition of other Party committees throughout the province, Thuong Long commune also held its monthly flag-raising ceremony in the first days of June. At the ceremony, the head of the commune's Culture and Social Affairs Department recounted President Ho Chi Minh's story of "Orderliness and Neatness." The short story described President Ho Chi Minh's orderly and scientific lifestyle.
Although simple, this short story contains profound lessons about President Ho Chi Minh's work style, organizational discipline, and sense of responsibility. Through this story, each cadre and Party member has been further strengthened in their determination and will to uphold responsibility, actively contribute to improving administrative discipline and order, and build a professional and efficient work style among the cadres, civil servants, and public employees of the commune.
At the same time, this is also an opportunity to foster a spirit of solidarity, create a vibrant atmosphere of competition, and demonstrate determination to successfully complete assigned tasks.
This meaningful activity plays a crucial role in contributing to the development of a team of Party officials and employees who are always highly responsible and dedicated to serving the people, thereby providing an important impetus for successfully completing all assigned tasks.

At the Party Committee of Thuong Long commune, the monthly flag-raising ceremony is an annual activity with practical significance in educating about patriotic traditions and studying and following the thoughts, morals, and style of Ho Chi Minh.
Party flag-raising ceremonies at commune and ward Party committees today carry profound political and spiritual significance. This is not merely a routine administrative ritual, but a sacred space connecting the nation's glorious past with the present responsibilities of each Party member. |
Under the fluttering national flag and the Party flag, the proud melody of the national anthem resounds, awakening patriotism, national pride, and absolute loyalty to the revolutionary ideal. For grassroots levels – those closest to the people – standing under the Party flag helps each cadre and Party member to self-reflect and correct their moral character and public service responsibilities. It is a solemn oath reminding them to always put the interests of the people first, uphold discipline, and maintain unity within the Party.
This ceremony also contributes to strengthening the people's trust in the Party's leadership at the local level. Participating in activities under the Party flag is a necessary "moment of quiet reflection" to cultivate political fortitude, awaken the desire to contribute, and ignite the spirit of responsibility of Party members in the journey of building a prosperous and beautiful homeland.
