The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management - Ministry of Health has worked with relevant units and sent document No. 706/KCB-QLCL&CĐT requesting the Director of the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and the Director of the Can Tho City Department of Health to coordinate to ensure the supply of blood and blood products in emergency and treatment for patients.

The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment - Ministry of Health assigned the Director of the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the National Blood Center to coordinate and coordinate with blood transfusion centers (Cho Ray Hospital, Hue Central Hospital; Ho Chi Minh City Blood Transfusion - Hematology Hospital and other blood transfusion centers) to ensure the supply of blood and products to support hospitals within the scope of blood supply of Can Tho City Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital to have enough blood for emergency and treatment of patients, absolutely not allowing shortages that affect the lives of patients and the quality of medical examination and treatment.

At the same time, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requested the Can Tho Department of Health to urgently direct the Can Tho City Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital to immediately implement short-term and long-term solutions to provide enough blood and blood products for hospitals within the scope of coverage for blood and blood products;

Strictly implement Official Dispatch No. 1758/BYT-KCB dated March 30, 2023 of the Ministry of Health on the implementation of Resolution No. 30/NQ-CP dated March 4, 2023 on continuing to implement solutions to ensure drugs, medical equipment and Decree No. 07/2023/ND-CP dated March 3, 2023 of the Government, to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment; take responsibility if the lack of blood and preparations affects patients.

Bac Lieu Department of Health, Department of Health of provinces/cities using blood and blood products in the Mekong Delta region actively coordinate with Can Tho Department of Health and related units in providing blood and blood products and promptly report to the Office of the Provincial/City People's Committee to resolve difficulties and problems (if any) in ensuring adequate supply of blood and blood products.
