According to the forest fire warning information from the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection, from May 23rd to May 25th, 2026, the weather in some communes and wards in Thanh Hoa province will continue to be hot and dry with no rain, and the risk of forest fires is predicted to be level III (high level).

In light of the above situation, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Forest Protection Department has issued a document requesting the People's Committees of the communes and wards, including: Kim Tan, Van Du, Ngoc Trao, Thach Binh, Thanh Vinh, Thach Quang, Bien Thuong, Xuan Du, Mau Lam, Nhu Thanh, Yen Tho, Xuan Thai, Thanh Ky, Trung Chinh, Tan Ninh, Ham Rong, Dong Son, Dong Tien, Hoang Tien, Hoang Phu, Hoang Giang, Sam Son, Ha Trung, Ha Long, Tong Son, Hoat Giang, Linh Toai, Trieu Loc, Dong Thanh, Hoa Loc, Van Loc, Tinh Gia, Dao Duy Tu, Ngoc Son, Tan Dan, Hai Linh, Hai Binh, Nghi Son, Cac Son, Truong Lam, Truc Lam and the Mobile Forest Protection and Fire Prevention Team to organize forest fire prevention and control measures.

Chairpersons of the People's Committees of communes and wards shall direct and supervise the implementation of forest fire prevention and control work by forest owners in their areas. They shall regularly inspect key areas prone to fires; organize forest fire patrol and surveillance forces from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily, paying particular attention to peak hours.

Forest owners must regularly inspect the forest patrol and management forces responsible for forest protection, especially reforestation.

When a forest fire occurs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune or ward mobilizes forces and equipment to participate in firefighting.

In cases where forest fires become uncontrollable by local authorities, neighboring communes and wards are requested to reinforce their forces and resources for support; at the same time, they should report to the Provincial Steering Committee to find solutions for mobilizing forces and equipment to respond promptly.
