Hong Loc Tuu sim wine is made from two main ingredients: wild sim berries and brown rice wine. From June onwards each year, ripe, juicy sim berries from the Dai Loc mountain region are harvested and selected for quality.

Afterward, the sim fruit is washed, drained, and sun-dried for 2-4 hours before being placed in a ceramic jar. The jar is then completely covered with rice wine and sealed. The wine, made with cleaned brown rice, rigorously tested probiotics, and fresh spring water, combined with a traditional and modern brewing method, creates a unique flavor.

Mr. Tran Dinh Duyen, owner of Hong Loc Tuu sim wine production facility, said that after distillation, the wine is purified to remove aldehydes and toxins through an advanced filtration system, ensuring that it retains its characteristic flavor while being absolutely safe for consumers. After a period of aging, the blend of ripe sim fruit and wine creates a delicate aroma, a light brown color, and a mildly sweet, slightly astringent taste.

“Besides its delicious flavor, sim wine is also known for its many benefits such as aiding digestion, fighting aging, and improving blood circulation… Therefore, it is a popular beverage. Currently, thanks to investment in new technology in the production process and proper marketing, Hong Loc Tuu sim wine is becoming known and trusted by customers inside and outside the province,” Mr. Duyen said.

In 2021, with support from the agricultural sector of Dai Loc district and the local government, Mr. Duyen's facility participated in the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) program and was awarded a 3-star OCOP rating at the provincial level. Over the past period, the facility has received support from higher authorities in establishing packaging, logos, labels, and a promotional website.

At the same time, Hong Loc Wine regularly participates in product introductions at fairs and exhibitions inside and outside the province. As a result, sales volume is increasing sharply. It is estimated that in 2024, the production and supply facility will supply more than 3,000 liters of wine to the market, with revenue of approximately 96 million VND, a 20% increase compared to 2023.

"To elevate the brand of our 3-star OCOP product to a 4-star level, Hong Loc Tuu Sim Wine production facility is constantly improving quality, diversifying product designs, increasing investment in machinery, and applying modern technology to the production and processing process, as well as packaging design and brand identity system."

"In particular, we ensure that our products meet food safety and hygiene requirements, applying advanced production processes such as VietGAP, ISO, HACCP... to create high-quality products. At the same time, we are promoting our products on e-commerce platforms, spreading the brand's reach to consumers," Mr. Duyen shared.
