Message from the running steps

Not only is jogging a sport chosen by many people to exercise and protect their health, it is also a great way to send and convey meaningful messages.

The largest running race ever in Dak Lak - "Buon Ma Thuot Half Marathon 2025 - 50 years of the Central Highlands Epic" organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with Dak Lak 2/9 Import-Export Company Limited has gathered 3,000 athletes from 35 provinces, cities and international participants.

The festival had the presence of famous domestic runners such as: Hoang Van Hon, Ly Van Thu, Ly Van Thieu, Nguyen Thi Duyen, Tran Thi Ny, "freak" Vietnamese runner Nguyen Van Long...

Attending the tournament held in the beautiful and hospitable city of Buon Ma Thuot, the athletes showed a noble gesture by joining hands to support the Organizing Committee with 300 million VND to support Dak Lak province in implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Previously, the Organizing Committee had informed and invited all professional and amateur athletes nationwide to register to participate. The event had a humanitarian meaning, spreading the spirit of mutual love and responsibility towards the community, and was enthusiastically responded to, and the number of athletes registering was a record high, beyond expectations, surprising even the Organizing Committee.

Athletes participated in the meaningful event “Buon Ma Thuot Half Marathon 2025 - 50 years of the Central Highlands Epic”, supporting funds to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

The atmosphere of the festival was very special, filled with laughter, where the steps to conquer the 5 km, 10 km and 21 km stages not only won, surpassed their own limits but also contributed to building solid houses, bringing joy to families with difficult housing circumstances in the area.

Previously, a race with a similar purpose, raising funds to build houses of love for poor households called "Thien Hanh Family Run" also attracted more than 500 participants. This meaningful event, combining health training and volunteer activities, also raised more than 85 million VND to build a house of love for Ms. Nguyen Thi Bon (residing in Tan An ward, Buon Ma Thuot city), helping her settle down and stabilize her life.

One of the other meaningful activities that the Dak Lak running community strives to maintain and regularly organizes on weekends in Buon Ma Thuot City is the program "Green Journey - Spreading Love". This event is special in that there is no finish line, no winner, athletes of all ages run through some main streets of the city center while picking up trash, plastic bags, and plastic bottles. With the message "living green, living healthy, living responsibly to the community", these small but practical actions have contributed to raising public awareness of the importance of protecting the living environment to join hands in reducing pollution, especially plastic waste.

Talking about the meaningful activities of the running community, we cannot fail to mention the activities of the Dak Lak Provincial Running Association. Along with improving health and practicing together, the running community in Dak Lak also actively responds to voluntary blood donation activities, sharing drops of red blood in the spirit of "each drop of blood given, a life remains". Familiar faces, who donate blood twice a year in the Dak Lak running community such as Phan Van Lanh, Tran Thi Phuong Mai, Dang Thi Hoa, Hoang Anh Tu, To Viet Vinh, Cu Le Nguyen have become familiar at the voluntary blood donation days. Not stopping there, there are members of the Dak Lak Provincial Running Association such as Mr. Pham Van Vuong Quoc (Yok Don National Park) who also registered to donate tissues and organs with the very simple thought of "giving is forever", "when you know how to give, you will receive".

Certainly, the above steps will always carry enthusiasm, not only for oneself but also feelings and responsibilities towards the community. With different actions, forms of sharing, and unique messages, it will create a positive community, more connected and loving each other.
