Kinhtedothi - The People's Council of Thai Binh province has just passed resolutions on the establishment of 5 specialized agencies (5 departments) under the Provincial People's Committee and the renaming of 10 villages in the province.
On the afternoon of February 19th, the 17th Provincial People's Council of Thai Binh, term 2021-2026, held a meeting to address unforeseen issues.
At the session, delegates discussed and voted on resolutions regarding the renaming of villages in Tien Hai, Quynh Phu, and Kien Xuong districts; the establishment of five specialized agencies under the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee; regulations on additional support policies for officials, civil servants, and employees in the implementation of organizational restructuring within the management scope of Thai Binh province; the list of projects requiring land acquisition in Thai Binh province in 2025; and the list of projects requiring land use conversion that include protected forest land and rice cultivation land according to the planning in Thai Binh province.

Accordingly, the delegates voted to approve a resolution on the establishment of five specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Thai Binh province, including: the establishment of the Department of Science and Technology based on the merger of the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Information and Communications.
The Thai Binh Department of Finance was established by merging the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance.
The Department of Internal Affairs of Thai Binh Province was established by merging the Department of Internal Affairs and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
The Department of Construction of Thai Binh Province was established by merging the Department of Construction and the Department of Transport.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Thai Binh Province was established by merging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
In addition, there is a resolution on renaming 10 villages in 3 communes of 3 districts in Thai Binh province, including: renaming Riêm Trì village, formerly in Tay Phong commune, to Diêm Trì village (Ai Quoc commune, Tien Hai district).
Rename hamlets 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 (formerly part of Vu Thang commune) to Vu Thang 1, Vu Thang 2, Vu Thang 3, Vu Thang 4, Vu Thang 5, Vu Thang 6, Vu Thang 7, and Vu Thang 8 (formerly part of Hong Vu commune, Kien Xuong district).
The village of Dong Hong, formerly belonging to Quynh Xa commune, is renamed Dong Hong 1 village, belonging to Trang Bao Xa commune, Quynh Phu district.
The session also adopted a resolution approving the list of works and projects requiring land acquisition in Thai Binh province in 2025, comprising 728 projects with a total area of 2,195.31 hectares.
Specifically: Vu Thu district has 101 projects with a total area of 366.69 hectares; Hung Ha district has 185 projects with a total area of 288.78 hectares; Kien Xuong district has 66 projects with a total area of 271.96 hectares; Tien Hai district has 113 projects with a total area of 296.37 hectares; Thai Thuy district has 103 projects with a total area of 253.10 hectares; Dong Hung district has 83 projects with a total area of 216.78 hectares; and Thai Binh city has 77 projects with a total area of 501.63 hectares.
Resolution approving the list of projects requiring land-use conversion that include rice paddy land and protective forest land according to the plan, for 403 projects, with a total rice paddy land area of 780.77 hectares and protective forest land area of 3.88 hectares.
Specifically: Vu Thu district has 72 projects with a total rice cultivation area of 159.55 hectares; Hung Ha district has 92 projects with a total rice cultivation area of 129.50 hectares; Kien Xuong district has 36 projects with a total rice cultivation area of 142.19 hectares; Tien Hai district has 51 projects with a total rice cultivation area of 86.48 hectares and 3.88 hectares of protective forest land; Thai Thuy district has 69 projects with a total rice cultivation area of 61.30 hectares; Dong Hung district has 61 projects with a total rice cultivation area of 99.25 hectares; and Thai Binh city has 22 projects with a total rice cultivation area of 102.50 hectares.
