The Ministry of Construction has just approved the toll rates for 13 expressway sections, including 12 component projects in the 2021-2025 period and the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan section through Da Nang.
Most routes are subject to a rate of 900 VND/PCU/km. These are sections of expressways with limited 4 lanes, a roadbed width of 17 m, and only emergency stopping points instead of continuous stopping lanes.
Specifically, the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan route, which is 11.5 km long, is subject to a toll rate of 1,300 VND/PCU/km. This route has higher technical standards as it is being developed to a complete 4-lane road, with a 22-meter wide roadbed and two continuous emergency stopping lanes.
The toll-collecting sections of the expressway stretch from Ha Tinh to Ca Mau , including Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang, Vung Ang - Bung, Bung - Van Ninh, Van Ninh - Cam Lo, Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon, Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh, Chi Thanh - Van Phong, Van Phong - Nha Trang, Can Tho - Hau Giang, Hau Giang - Ca Mau, and Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan.

According to the Vietnam Road Administration, the amount payable will be calculated based on the actual distance traveled by the vehicle on the expressway and will be collected entirely through electronic toll collection (ETC).
The toll collection aims to generate funds for the management, operation, and maintenance of the project, while also gradually repaying a portion of the budget invested in the North-South expressway system.
Previously, the Vietnam Road Administration had implemented toll collection on five sections of the Eastern North-South Expressway, including Mai Son - National Highway 45, National Highway 45 - Nghi Son, Nghi Son - Dien Chau, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet, and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay. Of these, the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay section applied a rate of 1,300 VND/PCU/km due to meeting the standard of a complete four-lane road, while the other four sections applied a rate of 900 VND/PCU/km.
