As today's issue reaches our readers, the Party Committee, the people, and the military of the province are all following the pivotal event of the revolution to streamline the organizational structure: the merger of Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, and Vinh Long into the new Vinh Long province, effective July 1, 2025. Accordingly, Dong Khoi Newspaper will cease publication, ending its nearly 49-year journey from Chien Thang Newspaper (formerly known as Dong Khoi Newspaper) and 94 years of revolutionary journalism in Ben Tre.

Throughout this time, generations of reporters, editors, and workers at Dong Khoi Newspaper have consistently demonstrated a proactive spirit, readily venturing to the forefront of revolutionary movements, diligently conveying the vibrant flow of life onto every page. Through articles and images, they promptly deliver information to readers, strengthen community connections, and spread noble values, enriching the spiritual lives of the people.

Amidst the profound changes of the times, which often evoke a wide range of emotions in individuals and communities alike, the newspaper reflects on past memories, present moments, and aspirations for the future. It is impossible to fully express the immense care, support, and sharing from all levels of government, departments, collaborators, readers, and the business community, creating invaluable resources that constantly encourage and motivate the staff of Dong Khoi Newspaper to fulfill its assigned tasks. Through this, it preserves the "arduous yet heroic" years on the ideological and cultural front of the Party.

Drawing upon the heroic traditions of the Đồng Khởi homeland, the rich history and culture of the three islands, imbued with love for the land and its people, and with unwavering determination and a steadfast will, we prepare for this new journey. Naturally, the initial steps will inevitably face difficulties and obstacles, requiring utmost effort to overcome. We will always demonstrate determination, unity, and a strong sense of responsibility, quickly adapting to our new unit, promptly getting to work, and continuing to make practical contributions to the development of our homeland and country in this new era.

The Dong Khoi newspaper is closing its doors, bidding farewell to its readers as it heads to the "common home" of newspapers and broadcasting after the merger, promising to meet again at the new Vinh Long Newspaper and Broadcasting Center.
