On the morning of January 25th, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - chaired the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee for January 2024.
Attending the meeting were: Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Thanh An - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with members of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and agencies.

At the meeting, members of the Provincial People's Committee focused on discussing, analyzing, and evaluating the socio -economic situation, including the implementation of state financial and budgetary tasks for January 2024.
According to Pham Hong Quang, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, during the month, all levels and sectors focused on implementing the Government 's Resolutions and the Provincial People's Council's Resolutions; summarizing the work of 2023 and implementing tasks for 2024; and preparing for activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024.

The Provincial People's Committee has issued decisions on the implementation of socio-economic development plan targets; public investment plan; state budget revenue and expenditure estimates for 2024; decisions on key tasks and solutions for socio-economic development and state budget estimates for 2024; and established 5 working groups to direct and promote various sectors and fields.
According to Trinh Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Finance, budget revenue in January 2024 reached VND 1,687 billion, and is estimated to reach VND 2,587 billion by the end of the month. The industrial production index is estimated to increase by 9.35% compared to the same period in 2023. Export turnover is estimated to reach USD 180 million.

The province continues to direct and expedite the disbursement of public investment capital for 2023. As of January 20, 2024, the total public investment plan for 2023 has been disbursed at VND 7,869.165 billion, reaching 87.11%.
Continuing the success of 2023, as of January 22nd, the province has granted licenses to 6 new projects with a total registered investment capital of over 2,169 billion VND. The province also saw the establishment of 200 new businesses, a 43.88% increase compared to the same period last year, with a total registered capital of 2,753 billion VND.

International cooperation and integration activities continue to be implemented effectively. The cultural and social sectors continue to receive attention and development; national defense, security, and social order and safety are maintained.
The province is implementing plans to organize propaganda, cultural, and artistic activities to celebrate the New Year; ensuring the implementation of policies for people with meritorious contributions to the revolution and social welfare during the Lunar New Year 2024.

As of January 23, 2024, 219 agencies, units, businesses, and philanthropists have registered to support the Tet for the Poor - Year of the Dragon 2024 Program with a total value of over 141.36 billion VND in funding and Tet gifts.
At the meeting, leaders of departments and agencies reported on the implementation of plans for cultural and artistic activities to celebrate the New Year and the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024; policies for people with meritorious services to the revolution and social welfare; ensuring transportation; the situation of agricultural and industrial production; and land clearance for key projects...

Speaking at the session, and commending the proactive approach of the Provincial People's Committee from the beginning of the year, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Nam Dinh, requested the Provincial People's Committee Office and the leading agencies to proactively adhere to the plan and develop the resolutions on schedule for submission to the Provincial People's Council.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De requested that departments and agencies pay attention to accelerating the progress of processing documents and procedures; implementing the plan for planting trees in early spring; and focusing on effectively implementing the investment project to build the embankment along the Nam Mo River in Ky Son district.


Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long requested the Department of Culture and Sports to direct urban beautification and organize healthy Spring Festival and Tet celebrations, especially at temples and pagodas. Heads of departments and agencies are responsible for reporting on the disbursement of operational funds under the three national target programs.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Thanh An requested that the land clearance process for Tho Loc Industrial Park be expedited; and that difficulties in granting work permits to foreign workers for FDI enterprises be resolved. Furthermore, he requested the issuance of regulations on the decentralization of budget management and administration.


Speaking at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh requested a focus on directing budget revenue collection in the first months of 2024; paying attention to the market for OCOP products during the Lunar New Year; strengthening security and order, traffic safety, crime prevention, and food safety before, during, and after Tet, ensuring that people can celebrate the Spring safely and healthily.
On the other hand, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested improvements in the quality of feedback on the promulgation of legal documents; inspection of the volume and quality of work at projects and constructions immediately after Tet; acceleration of compensation payments for land clearance for the upgrading and expansion project of National Highway 1A; and expedited settlement of accounts for businesses...
