Specifically, in Decision No. 489/QD-TTg dated March 27, 2026, the Prime Minister decided to reappoint Mr. Dang Hoang Giang as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs . The term of appointment is 5 years.
Mr. Dang Hoang Giang was born in 1977 in Bac Ninh ; he graduated with a Master's degree in International Relations from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
Mr. Dang Hoang Giang began working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2000, holding various positions. From March 2021 to February 2022, prior to his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Head of the Vietnamese Mission to the United Nations, Mr. Dang Hoang Giang served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
* In Decision No. 488/QD-TTg dated March 27, 2026, the Prime Minister decided to relieve Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, from his position as Deputy Minister of Education and Training to be assigned to other duties as per the opinion of the competent authority.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc was born in 1974 in Long An province. He graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from the Foreign Trade University in 1995; and a Master's degree in Development Economics from a joint program between the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and the Institute of Social Sciences in The Hague, Netherlands. In 2006, Mr. Phuc received his PhD in Development Studies specializing in economics from the Institute of Social Sciences in The Hague, Netherlands.
He held various positions including Deputy Head of the Economics Faculty, Head of the Economics Faculty, Vice Rector, and then Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of Ho Chi Minh City Open University. On September 22, 2017, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Training by the Prime Minister.
