Vietnam-Japan relations have continued to develop substantively and comprehensively in all fields after upgrading to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with political trust continuing to be strengthened and economic cooperation remaining the main pillar.

Japan continues to be a leading economic partner of Vietnam, with progress in new areas such as green transformation and digital transformation, evidenced by numerous concrete projects.

Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki said that Prime Minister Ishiba's visit aimed to further strengthen relations with Southeast Asia, including Vietnam.

Southeast Asia is a dynamic growth center of the world, and strengthening relations with Vietnam, a country with a population of over 100 million and a dynamic economy, is a priority in Japan's foreign policy strategy.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Japanese leader to build and strengthen relations with General Secretary To Lam and other Vietnamese leaders.

Ambassador Ito Naoki stated that Vietnam is a top priority in Japan's foreign policy, a country with great potential.

Through Prime Minister Ishiba's visit, Japan aims to promote Vietnam's priority areas, including digital transformation, green transformation, semiconductors, and human resource training.

Ambassador Ito Naoki stated that Vietnam is entering an era of national progress. Japan believes that this new era for Vietnam will be a great opportunity to further expand cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the world.

According to Ambassador Ito Naoki, Japan is focusing on three areas of cooperation with Vietnam: expanding investment and trade, strengthening security cooperation, and promoting people-to-people exchanges.
