Promoting Entrepreneurial Spirit in Students

In recent years, the Government has implemented many policies to promote entrepreneurship among students. Notably, Decision No. 166 of the Prime Minister approved the Project “Supporting students to start businesses until 2025”, assigned to the Ministry of Education and Training to take the lead in implementing. The project clearly defines the goal of promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship among students; at the same time, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills so that they can soon form ideas and start-up projects during their studies.

To materialize that spirit, the Ministry of Education and Training has issued Circular 07 regulating career counseling, employment and start-up support in educational institutions. Schools become a place to inspire, equip knowledge and skills necessary for students to confidently embark on their start-up journey...

To promote the entrepreneurial spirit among students, the province has issued many policies such as exempting tuition fees for ethnic minority students, poor households, supporting vocational training, supporting projects participating in innovation and startup competitions, etc. Building an entrepreneurial ecosystem, closely connecting schools - businesses - experts - support organizations.

At the end of 2020, the Provincial People's Committee issued the Project to Support the National Innovation and Startup Ecosystem for the 2021-2025 period, directing the Department of Education and Training to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship in high schools.

From 2022, Vinh Phuc will coordinate with the Ministry of Science and Technology to organize the "Vinh Phuc Innovation and Startup Festival" (Techfest VinhPhuc), helping students access modern technology, present ideas to investors and participate in seminars and experiential activities, thereby developing thinking, creativity and fostering entrepreneurial spirit.

In 2023, the Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, Phenikaa Group, PHX Education Joint Stock Company and Lien Bao High School (Vinh Yen), organized a seminar to inspire creative startups for high school students. Here, students met entrepreneurs, listened to "real people, real events" startup stories, and received vivid lessons about determination, creativity and perseverance. On this occasion, many cooperation agreements to support startups between businesses and schools were signed...

High schools actively organize experiential activities, seminars, encourage and support students to participate in science and technology innovation and startup idea competitions to stimulate creative potential, develop soft skills and help students have the opportunity to turn ideas into reality...

Thanks to their persistent efforts, Vinh Phuc students have reaped sweet fruits, with many projects achieving high results at the "Students with startup ideas - SV STARTUP" contest organized by the Ministry of Education and Training; in which, students from Tran Phu High School (Vinh Yen) won First Prize (in 2022) and Second Prize (in 2023); students from Dinh Trung High School (Vinh Yen) won First Prize in 2025.

The project "WELLIFE - Application to support management and connection in treatment, helping to improve the effectiveness of medical examination and treatment" by students of Tran Phu High School is the first project of the Vinh Phuc Education and Training Department to win First Prize at the SV-STARTUP competition. Based on AI camera technology (artificial intelligence), WELLIFE is like a "smart family doctor", connecting patients - doctors - nurses - relatives; supporting the use of drugs according to the regimen; managing health information, looking up drugs and storing medical records. WELLIFE is highly appreciated for its humanity and practical application, especially in the context of strong technology development and complicated epidemics. In the future, WELLIFE can develop into a useful medical application, contributing to improving the quality of public health care.

In 2025, the project "AI - No Vape Life - Project to build a community education channel to say no to electronic cigarettes" by a group of students from Dinh Trung Secondary School continued to win first prize nationwide at SV-STARTUP.

Team leader Tran Minh Nguyet shared: “Concerned with the increasing number of students using e-cigarettes, our team has developed an educational ecosystem that integrates artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) to promote and personalize learning content and learn about the harmful effects of e-cigarettes. The application stands out thanks to the integration of a virtual doctor created by AI, which can give advice suitable for each student. The application is not only a creative product but also a companion that helps students choose a healthy lifestyle.

During the project implementation, we both studied in class and actively participated in online courses on AI and AR. Then, we conducted field surveys; contacted technology experts, medical experts, and education experts connected by the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Education and Training to complete the product. After winning the first prize at SV - STARTUP, we promoted connections with a number of businesses and non-governmental organizations and received approval to sponsor product development from 5 units. The group plans to establish a company in the future to expand the scale of product application."

Entrepreneurship is a journey to nurture innovative thinking, the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, and overcoming one's own limits. Promoting the entrepreneurial spirit among students requires the cooperation of State policies, the connection of businesses, social organizations, and especially the continuous efforts of the education and training sector, and the role of inspiration from schools.

With clear direction and methodical steps, Vinh Phuc is giving opportunities and accompanying, supporting students to create proud achievements. From small projects in the classroom, students will boldly step out into the world, turn ideas into products, turn dreams into reality - starting the journey to create the future.
