In recent years, the government has implemented many policies to promote entrepreneurship among students. A notable example is Prime Minister's Decision No. 166, which approves the "Scheme to Support Student Entrepreneurship until 2025," with the Ministry of Education and Training in charge of its implementation. The scheme clearly defines the goal of fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among students, while simultaneously equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to develop entrepreneurial ideas and projects early in their studies.
To concretize that spirit, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Circular 07 regulating career counseling, employment, and entrepreneurship support in educational institutions. Schools become places that inspire, equip, and provide the necessary knowledge and skills for students to confidently embark on their entrepreneurial journey…
To promote the entrepreneurial spirit among students, the province has issued many policies such as waiving tuition fees for ethnic minority students and those from poor households, supporting vocational training, and supporting projects participating in creative and entrepreneurial competitions… Building an entrepreneurial ecosystem, closely connecting schools - businesses - experts - support organizations.
At the end of 2020, the Provincial People's Committee issued the Project to Support the National Innovation and Startup Ecosystem for the period 2021-2025, directing the Department of Education and Training to promote the entrepreneurial spirit in high schools.
Since 2022, Vinh Phuc province has collaborated with the Ministry of Science and Technology to organize the "Vinh Phuc Province Innovation and Entrepreneurship Festival" (Techfest VinhPhuc), helping students access modern technology, present their ideas to investors, and participate in workshops and experiential activities, thereby developing their thinking, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit.
In 2023, the Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, Phenikaa Group, PHX Education Joint Stock Company, and Lien Bao High School (Vinh Yen), organized a seminar to inspire creative entrepreneurship among high school students. At this event, students had the opportunity to meet entrepreneurs, listen to real-life startup stories, and gain valuable lessons about perseverance, creativity, and resilience. High schools actively organize experiential activities and workshops, encouraging and supporting students to participate in science and technology innovation competitions and startup idea contests to unleash creative potential, develop soft skills, and give students the opportunity to turn their ideas into reality...
Thanks to their persistent efforts, students in Vinh Phuc have reaped the rewards, with many projects achieving high results in the "Students and Young Entrepreneurs with Startup Ideas - SV STARTUP" competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training; in particular, students from Tran Phu High School (Vinh Yen) won first prize (2022) and second prize (2023); students from Dinh Trung High School (Vinh Yen) won first prize in 2025.
The project "WELLIFE - An application supporting management and connection in treatment, helping to improve the efficiency of medical examination and treatment" by students of Tran Phu High School is the first project from the Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training to win first prize at the SV-STARTUP competition. Based on AI (artificial intelligence) camera technology, WELLIFE acts as a "smart family doctor," connecting patients - doctors - nurses - relatives; supporting the correct use of medication according to treatment protocols; managing health information, searching for medications, and storing medical records. WELLIFE is highly appreciated for its humanistic values and practical applications, especially in the context of rapid technological development and the complex development of the epidemic. In the future, WELLIFE could develop into a useful medical application, contributing to improving the quality of community health care.
In 2025, the project "AI - No Vape Life - A project to build a community education channel to say no to e-cigarettes" by a group of students from Dinh Trung Secondary School continued to win first prize nationwide at SV-STARTUP.
Team leader Tran Minh Nguyet shared: “Concerned about the increasing number of students using e-cigarettes, our team has developed an educational ecosystem integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) to promote and personalize learning content about the harmful effects of e-cigarettes. The application stands out thanks to its integration of an AI-generated virtual doctor that can provide personalized advice to each student. The application is not only an innovative product but also a companion that helps students choose a healthy lifestyle.”
During the project implementation, we both studied in class and actively participated in online courses on AI and AR. Afterwards, we conducted field surveys; contacted technology experts, medical experts, and education experts connected by the Department of Education and Training and the Provincial Department of Education and Training to refine the product. After winning first prize at the SV-STARTUP competition, we facilitated connections with several businesses and non-governmental organizations and received funding for product development from five entities. The team plans to establish a company in the future to expand the product's application scale.”
Entrepreneurship is a journey of nurturing innovative thinking, a spirit of daring to think and act, and overcoming personal limitations. Promoting the entrepreneurial spirit among students requires the joint efforts of government policies, connections with businesses and social organizations, and especially the continuous efforts of the education sector, with schools playing a key role in inspiring others.
With clear direction and systematic steps, Vinh Phuc is providing opportunities and support to students to create proud achievements. From small projects in the classroom, they will confidently step out into the world, turning ideas into products, and dreams into reality – the beginning of their journey to build the future.
