Rally in response to the National Action Month on Population

DNO - On the morning of December 22nd, the Da Nang City Department of Health, in coordination with the Hai Chau Ward People's Committee, organized a rally to respond to the National Action Month on Population 2025 and Vietnam Population Day (December 26th).

Attending the ceremony were Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, along with 750 delegates representing departments, agencies, organizations, and population officials and collaborators.

Speaking at the rally, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized that Da Nang currently has a population of over 3 million people with a diverse distribution across the plains, mountainous areas, midlands, and islands. This reality places very high demands on improving the quality of the population in the new phase.

With the theme "Investing in population work is investing in sustainable development," this year's National Action Month on Population and Vietnam Population Day (December 26) is an opportunity for the city to strengthen communication and mobilize all levels, sectors, and society as a whole to work together effectively to implement key tasks in the coming period.

City leaders requested that all levels, sectors, and localities continue to thoroughly understand and decisively implement Resolution No. 21-NQ/TW, Conclusion No. 149-KL/TW, the 2025 Population Law, Ordinance No. 07/2025/UBTVQH15, and related documents, ensuring high uniformity in awareness and action from the city level to the grassroots.

At the same time, it is necessary to focus on promoting population communication, concentrating on pro-natalist policies and maintaining a reasonable birth rate; effectively controlling the imbalance in the sex ratio at birth. In addition, efforts to improve the quality of the population and healthcare for the elderly need to be strengthened to proactively adapt to the aging population process.

Immediately following the rally, a mobile propaganda parade took place on the central streets, contributing to the widespread dissemination of the message of the 2025 National Action Month on Population to all segments of the population.
