Flower floats parade through the streets.

As part of the program for the Buddha's Birthday celebration week in the year 2570 of the Buddhist calendar (2026 AD), a parade of decorated floats was held on the evening of May 29th (April 13th of the lunar calendar) to welcome the Buddha's birthday.

Following the opening ceremony in front of Phu Van Lau historical site, the convoy of vehicles traveled along the streets of Tran Hung Dao, Huynh Thuc Khang, Mai Thuc Loan, Doan Thi Diem, Dang Thai Than, Le Huan, Thach Han, Nguyen Trai, Nguyen Van Linh, Dinh Tien Hoang… then through Kim Long Street, Nguyen Hoang Bridge, onto Bui Thi Xuan Street and onto Dong Khoi Street to proceed to the main ceremonial platform at Tu Dam Ancestral Temple.

The procession of flower floats will continue its parade on the evening of May 31st (April 15th in the lunar calendar). The route will start at Tu Dam Pagoda and travel along major streets on the south bank of the Perfume River, including Dien Bien Phu, Phan Boi Chau, Nguyen Hue, Ba Trieu, Pham Van Dong, Nguyen Sinh Cung, Le Loi, Hung Vuong, Dong Da, and Ly Thuong Kiet…
