According to the latest information from leaker Digital Chat Station on the social media platform Weibo, Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone is predicted to feature a dual camera system with 48MP resolution.

Although detailed specifications have not yet been revealed, experts believe the second lens will most likely be an ultra-wide-angle lens, rather than a telephoto lens, due to space limitations inside the foldable device.
Both the main and ultra-wide lenses are expected to have the same 48MP resolution.
Regarding the selfie camera, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that the foldable iPhone will integrate an under-display camera for the inner screen, while the outer screen (when folded) will use a traditional punch-hole design.
According to Kuo, Foxconn is expected to begin producing foldable iPhones for Apple in September or October, aiming to launch the device in 2026.
Despite the imminent production date, many of the product's specifications have yet to be finalized by Apple. However, the foldable screen will be supplied by Samsung Display.
Previous leaks suggest that the foldable iPhone will have a 5.5-inch screen when folded and a 7.8-inch screen when unfolded, with a horizontal folding design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold.
The device is expected to be impressively thin: 4.5mm when open and 9.5mm when folded. Apple is also reportedly focusing on improving the hinge to completely eliminate the crease on the screen.

Due to space constraints, the Face ID facial recognition system may not appear on this foldable iPhone model. Instead, Apple will most likely reintegrate the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
According to MacRumors, the foldable iPhone will have a 4:3 aspect ratio when unfolded, similar to current iPad models. This ratio is considered optimal for both portrait and landscape modes, providing a better reading and multitasking experience.
Analyst Ross Young previously predicted that Apple would enter the foldable phone market in the second half of 2026, with an expected price of around $2,600.
