Journalist Nguyen Duy Cuong
Born in 1945.
Hometown: Phu Dong commune, Hanoi .
Permanent address: No. 23, Alley 121, Le Thanh Nghi Street, Bach Mai Ward, Hanoi.
Former Deputy Director General of VNA, former Chairman of the VNA Journalists' Association, recipient of the 45-year Party Membership Badge, Second-Class Labor Medal, Second-Class Resistance Against America Medal, Medal for the Cause of Journalism, and Medal for the Cause of News Agency.
He is the biological father of Ms. Nguyen Dieu Linh, Editor of the Economic News Editorial Board (Vietnam News Agency).
He is the father-in-law of Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Head of the Planning and Finance Department (Vietnam News Agency).
He passed away at 8:00 AM on September 29, 2025 (which is the 8th day of the 8th month of the Year of the Snake).
He passed away at the age of 81.
The memorial service will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, at the National Funeral Home, 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi.
The memorial service and funeral procession will begin at 10:30 AM on the same day.
Cremation will take place at Hoan Vu Crematorium, Van Dien, Hanoi.
Buried in the family cemetery.
