DIVA Organization, Korea hands over the well drilling project of WASH Project in Lang Son province

On September 29-30, 2025, the working delegation of Daejin International Volunteers Association (DIVA), Korea, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bao Linh, DIVA project manager, organized the acceptance and handover of the well works of the Clean Water and Sanitation (WASH) Improvement Project for 10 schools in the old Binh Gia district (now Thien Long, Thien Hoa, Hong Phong and Quy Hoa communes), Lang Son province.

The project "Improving sustainable water and sanitation (WASH) for schools in Binh Gia district, Lang Son province" is sponsored by DIVA Organization, Korea with a total budget of 82,580.25 USD (equivalent to 2 billion VND). The goal of the project is to improve sanitation conditions, improve the learning environment, and ensure the supply of clean water for students and teachers at schools in the old Binh Gia district. To date, the project has completed the construction of clean water wells at 10 schools, specifically: Tan Hoa Primary and Secondary School, Tan Hoa Kindergarten, Na Lu School, Thien Long Primary School and Thien Long Kindergarten, Hoa Binh Kindergarten (Thien Long commune), Yen Lo Secondary School, Yen Lo Primary School (Thien Hoa commune), Minh Khai Kindergarten, Hong Phong Primary School (Hong Phong commune), Vinh Yen Primary and Secondary School, Vinh Yen Kindergarten (Quy Hoa commune), bringing practical and long-term benefits to the schools.

At the schools, the Working Group coordinated with the school Board of Directors to inspect, accept the project and officially hand over the water wells for use. The completion of the project has promptly supported students and teachers at the schools to have a stable source of clean water, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning right from the new school year.

Representatives of the school Boards expressed their joy and gratitude for the attention and support of the Department of Foreign Affairs and DIVA Organization, and hoped to continue receiving support from foreign non -governmental organizations in improving facilities and enhancing learning and living conditions for students in disadvantaged areas./.
