Broadcast on VTV4 and digital platforms, the first episode of the "Vietnam's Impressions" program, themed "Uncle Ho and the Purity of the Vietnamese Language," premiered on May 19th this year, commemorating the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh 's birth.
This is one of the important activities in response to the Government's Project "Day to Honor the Vietnamese Language in the Overseas Vietnamese Community in the period 2023-2030", sponsored by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (Ministry of Foreign Affairs ).
With a duration of 7 minutes per episode, "Vietnam's Impressions" features historical figures or outstanding Vietnamese individuals who have brought pride to Vietnam both domestically and internationally; scientific achievements or products associated with Vietnamese brands in various fields such as culture, economics , society, education, technology, science, etc.

Sharing his thoughts on the significance of this program, Ambassador Nguyen Phu Binh, Chairman of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese, emphasized that the program will contribute to highlighting the values of Vietnam in the development of the nation and the country; contribute to honoring the image of Vietnam domestically and internationally; encourage national pride, inspire love for the homeland, and honor Vietnamese intelligence throughout the ages; and improve Vietnamese language skills, especially for the younger generation of overseas Vietnamese.
Mr. Mai Phan Dung, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), said that the "Vietnam's Imprint" program is one of the important activities in response to the "Day of Honoring the Vietnamese Language in the Overseas Vietnamese Community Project, 2023-2030".
This project was approved by the Prime Minister on August 3, 2022, with the aim of raising awareness of the national language and culture among overseas Vietnamese and international friends, especially the younger generation. It also aims to strongly spread love for the Vietnamese language, becoming a driving force to promote the Vietnamese language teaching movement in the community, thereby contributing to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of the nation, and laying the foundation for a new phase in developing the position of the Vietnamese language in many areas of community education.
Mr. Mai Phan Dung believes that, through the new presentation style developed by VTV4, the content of the "Vietnam's Impressions" program will attract the attention not only of Vietnamese viewers both at home and abroad, but also of foreign viewers who love the Vietnamese language and culture.
At the same time, "The Vietnamese Imprint" will truly become a part of life, a positive imprint on cultural life, so that the Vietnamese community abroad will be more attached to their homeland, so that national culture and language become a source of pride and an important asset in integrating into the cultural life of their host countries, accompanying the stability and development of the Vietnamese community abroad and contributing to building bridges of friendship between Vietnam and countries around the world.
With the convergence of many experts and the attention of the community, it is hoped that "Vietnam's Imprint" will be a program that shines the humanistic values of Vietnam in the process of national and country development; contributing to honoring the beautiful symbol of compassion of Vietnamese people at home and around the world. Many outstanding and distinctive achievements in the fields of politics, economics, culture, and society of Vietnam will be promoted and introduced through various domestic and international media outlets.
The "Vietnam's Impressions" program will be broadcast from May 2023 to January 2025 on VTV4 channel.
