Episode 26 of the Vietnamese Family Home program, featuring actors Cao Minh Dat and Le Khanh, along with the support of MC Quyen Linh, brought viewers a wide range of emotions.
As one of the artists who rarely appears in game shows, Cao Minh Dat, nicknamed "Uncle Ba," said that the experiences at the program made his day meaningful because he was able to help orphaned children.
Behind the scenes of the show, Cao Minh Dat shared some insights about his life and work. A famous actor in the 2000s, he was nicknamed the "specialist in playing villains" in Vietnamese cinema.
Cao Minh Dat and Le Khanh gave their all in the challenges.
Sharing his feelings about this unique nickname, Cao Minh Dat said that since he was young, he has played many villainous roles and often had to face "laughable yet awkward" situations.
Back then, when social media wasn't as popular as it is now, some viewers even sent emails to insult him for being "too evil" in the film. "I felt disappointed and wondered why viewers were insulting me like that. I was just doing my part as the character I was playing," the actor said.
Cao Minh Dat laughed as he recalled, "Many people said I was too immersed in playing villainous roles, too evil. Some elderly people I met on the street would hug me and say, 'Son, you're great at playing villains, but please don't play villains anymore, because you have such a kind face.'"
Cao Minh Dat has become less hot-tempered since getting married.
When asked if his real-life personality is the same as his on-screen persona, actor Cao Minh Dat said that since getting married, he has become much less irritable and grumpy. “There were times when I got angry for no reason. When I was tired and someone joked around, I would get very annoyed. However, since starting a family, my hot temper has decreased a lot,” the actor shared.
The woman who changed Cao Minh Dat's personality like that is his wife, Truc Truong. They've been married for nearly seven years, but their relationship is always admired by viewers because they're like newlyweds. On filming days, Truc Truong also came along and stayed backstage to cheer on her husband, allowing him to give his all.
