Vũ Cát Tường's "Ordinary People" concert, recently held in Ho Chi Minh City, evoked many emotions in the audience.
According to the organizers, the concert stage was arranged to include: sheet music, a pen, a music box, and a piano, to represent things familiar to Vu Cat Tuong.
Opening the concert, Vu Cat Tuong shared: "Starting from scratch 10 years ago, I decided to use a guitar, a pen, and blank sheets of paper to turn my life around."
Throughout the show, there was no host; Vu Cat Tuong single-handedly took control of the stage, guiding the audience with her own story.
Vu Cat Tuong appeared with a distinctive white hairstyle.
The 90s-born singer shared: "For the past three years, I've asked myself a question: if everything has its own destiny, then what meaning do my will and efforts, the efforts of each individual, have?"
Clearly, from the beginning, I was the one who initiated this path and followed my own desires, but along the way, fate also steered it in its own direction. So, between my own will and predetermined fate, which will prevail?"
Finally, Vu Cat Tuong gave her own answer: "What I win is no longer important. Because my mindset has changed; I no longer want everything to go my way, but accept everything that happens to me, whether it's good or bad."
"In the past, I only did what I loved, but now I've learned to love everything I do. Therefore, extraordinary dreams are no longer as important."
The audience packed the venue to show their support for the concert.
Next, Vu Cat Tuong performed her new composition titled "Tung La" ( Once Was), followed by a series of songs that bear the singer's distinctive mark, such as "Hanh Tinh Anh Sang" (Planet of Light), "If," "Co Gai Ngay Hom Qua" (The Girl from Yesterday) , and "Yeu Xa" (Love from Afar).
Vu Cat Tuong said: "If you ask me, between the journey and the destination, which is more important? I would answer that the companions, the people who walk with me, are what truly matter. Whether it's joy or sorrow, success or failure, a big road or a small road, it doesn't matter. As long as when I look around, I can see my companions always there with me, by my side no matter the circumstances. Everything else is just secondary."
Vu Cat Tuong shone brightly during the concert.
Throughout her 22 performances, Vu Cat Tuong's vocals were praised for their emotional depth and consistent pitch. Over 1000 audience members expressed their reluctance to leave at the end.
Making her directorial debut, Vu Cat Tuong hopes that all viewers can be "touched" in their hearts and understand the story that the singer-songwriter wants to convey.
